He was speaking at the National Press Club today and completely eviscerated Donald Trump. He started out by saying that he likes the idea of Trump calling out the establishment and that his diagnosis on Washington DC is correct. He finds the Trump show very entertaining and says he even laughed when he gave out Lindsey Graham’s phone number. But while his diagnosis is good, Jindal says Trump’s prescription of himself is not what America needs.
But then he lit into Trump, calling him a narcissist who only cares about ‘Trump’ and says the only reason he likes Kanye West is because West likes Trump. Jindal notes that like all narcissists, Trump is really weak and insecure and afraid of being exposed.
He had several really good jabs at Trump, but one that I thought was a particularly good zinger was when he explained why Donald Trump can’t even tell you his favorite verse in the Bible. He says Trump has never read the Bible because Trump is not IN the Bible! Wow.
Jindal says for the first time in a while conservatives have a real chance of winning, and yet right now an unserious candidate is leading the pack.
I have to say that I love what Jindal said. He really threw down the gauntlet and laid out the case against Trump better than anyone has thus far. And he didn’t do it in a mean and nasty way. He did it in a very thoughtful and substantive way.
Now all of a sudden Jindal looks like a serious candidate who is willing to fight for this nomination. BRING IT ON

I LOVE Bobby Jindal!!! LOVE him!
Jindal’s my candidate, always has been. He is a true conservative, fiscally and socially, and he has a proven record of getting things done and battling corrupto-crats while he does it.
The truly astounding post-Katrina turnaround of New Orleans under his administration is a case in point. Business investment is pouring in. The ninth ward is gone, though—Jindal wouldn’t cater to that, and that’s all the drive by media will show us on the TV.
He’s an old school politician who sees himself as a public servant with an obligation to do what’s right over the long term, not what’s politically expedient right now. He refuses to kowtow to poverty pimps. He understands the antidote to poverty is employment. He’s a pro-business, lower taxes guy.
He cancelled the state’s Medicaid contract with Planned Parenthood. That’s huge. He shut down the antiquated, dilapidated “butcher shop” hospitals and replaced them with state of the art modern facilities, while making their economics more efficient and trimming the fat from their budgets.
His grasp of American history and foreign policy—and it’s philosophical underpinnings—is light years ahead of Trump’s. Jindal is brilliant and well educated. He doesn’t shoot off at the mouth. He studies the issues and knows what he’s talking about. He respects our military and law enforcement. Democrats hate him! What’s not to like???
Of course, racists—including blacks—hate him because of his Indian heritage. They call him monkey and raghead. IMO, Jindal’s brown skin and slight stature make him seem weirdly unpresidential, Not Ready for Prime Time, based on stereotypical judgements which we heed at our own peril. We need to forget about looks, or what This One says about That One’s looks. None of that trivial bullshit matters.
Instead we need to LISTEN and EXAMINE THE RECORD of the candidates. IMO if “conservatives” did that, Jindal would be the candidate.
But we’re still letting the liberal media decide our candidates for us. That’s why it’s Yeb vs the Donald.
Jindal’s not a celebrity, he’s got no name recognition; it’s up to us to give him the recognition. We’re falling down on the job, FReepers!!
I’ll hold my nose and vote for Trump if he’s the lesser of the two evils.
But if I were the kingmaker, Jindal would be the candidate.

How was Carson’s comments about his religious life a question about his positions? Which of his views are vague? Care to name a few. Immigration? Trade? Illegal crime wave? Obama competence?
Everything Gov. Jindal said was spot on. Its an indictment of the voting populace to see that Donald Trump is on top of the polls, in spite of the act that he is all blather. Here’s a question for all that deserves an honest answer: Bobby Jindal and Donald Trump in a substantive debate on health care, the economy, foreign policy, education,the environment. Who wins? You all know the answer, but too many don’t want to admit it. Just plain sad.
Bush is happy thanks to Jindal and Carson.
Bobby & Rick should just go grab a burger & beer, call it a day.
The Donald should walk into the next “Kid’s Table” debate and just say, “You’re Fired”.

Jindal is emulating Trump who constantly insults and calls names. Trump supporters should be thrilled.

Who cares what Trump looks like. Doesn’t negate what Carly looks like, does it? I’d rather look at Trump for 4 years than Carly. Besides which, and this is just so sexist of female me, I don’t want a female President at all at this time in history. We are confronted by a bunch of misogynist Middle East terrorists and we want a woman for our spokesman? We aren’t talking about any Maggie Thatcher choices here. We’ve got Carly and Hillary, neither of them even close to a Maggie in character or resolve. Geez, you Carly admirers, think.
All of the “views” you cite were either undefined or have been changed. Including those about immigrants. In fact, they’ve been changed several times.
He said he’d spend a billion dollars of his own money to get elected, and he’s obviously dividing it between his private jet travel (that’s why he thrns up everywhere - the other candidates don’t have the money to buy the travel) and disinformation, including flooding sites like this.

He gives news conferences almost daily, he is interviewed almost daily — all involve asking him questions. Do you live on the back side of the moon?
The problem
Is that he never answers the questions, or answers them incoherently, or simply attacks the questioner.
