Real-estate developer Donald Trump is furious at Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona) for dismissing the supporters of his presidential campaign.
McCain, the Republican Party's 2008 presidential nominee, was quoted in a Thursday article in The New Yorker criticizing Trump's heated rhetoric against illegal immigration.
The senator also said Trump's big rally last weekend in Phoenix, Arizona, was supported by the "crazies" in his state.
"This performance with our friend out in Phoenix is very hurtful to me," McCain said. "Because what he did was he fired up the crazies."
Trump responded on Twitter by blasting McCain and demanding an apology:

Trump was clearly being charitable.
Wearing his pearls and clutching his bead-encrusted reticule.
When did Ted Cruz EVER do that? Never. The fact is that Trump got traction because the press thought they could make a monkey of him due to his celebrity status and oddball reputation. They gave Trump a big megaphone and it backfired. The MSM is nothing if not a bunch of morons and losers.
This is the opposite of the suppress, ignore and smother treatment they have afforded Cruz.
That said, more power to him (Trump) to shake hoist the MSM on their own petard.
His numbers went down with that dealing with the devil on trade. Among honorable men, what he agreed to would've worked. They backstabbed him. We were in cyber war here on FR with Cruz supporters, trying to convey that the deal would not end well. I give him credit for recognizing and admitting what happened.
Now Cruz has to learn to make better deals. He has to drop the "we need more H1Bs" nonsense. And he has to refuse to deal with anyone but honorable men and women.
Cruz can learn from Trump. And Trump can use Cruz's inside knowledge and experience with Constituional law and the gov.
That's why I like the idea of Trump as the candidate and the mentor for DC pols who want to break free from that poisoned DC sewer.
That's the best idea I've heard in a while....
I would like to see her in action before having her as a president.... It would be good for her and good for us.....
MHO :)
I like Sarah Palin but she’s too polarizing and sadly her family is a never ending source of derision for the media. She would be a terrible negative in the Presidential campaign for 2016. Especially with Bristol knocked up for the second time and still no wedding ring. Its a lose lose and I’m sure Sarah Palin knows it. Plus she is trying to raised a mentally challenged child.
Perhaps she will be offered a cabinet job in a new GOP administration. I would make her Energy Secretary.
Awww, poor ol’ juan mcStain, did that mean Donald Trump steal your little linzy lappoodle’s ‘thunder’? (snerk!)
You could almost(but not quite) feel sorry for the grovelling idiot. About the only good thing he’s ever done for this country was marry money and then proceed to lose it at the gambling tables. Well, that and guzzle alcohol. Imagine that an alcoholic and gambling addict referring to Americans as “crazies”.
Tsk, Tsk, juan-you will never learn.
Yes I have read good things about Ward. I hope she kicks McStain’s azz.
