Presidential candidate Donald Trump is under fire for his statement against Mexican migrants in the U.S.
Trump, who announced his candidacy on Tuesday, said in his hour-long speech that Mexico was "not sending its brightest minds to the U.S., instead it was sending drugs, crime, and rapists across the border illegally," Fox News Latino wrote.

Please note however:
I believe with this sort of comment, Trump might just win over more Latino voters.
Just saying.
Speaking the truth might harm el jefe Jeb! ,,, How can you argue against The Donald when our FedGov has “catch and release” rules in place for Mexican drug trafficers...
Doubt Trump will win any Latino votes, but it is refreshing to have a candidate speak bluntly on the topic.
Interesting coming from a guy that owned hotels. That statement has about as much veracity as Ron Paul complaining about earmarks.
Again I will ask - where is he wrong? Forget about the LIV vote or the identity-based vote.
Where is he wrong? Go back and check the FR archives on all the illegal immigration posts. This is eating us alive and it’s been said over and over again for years.
Time to face the music.
Ouch!
And another thing. This ‘winning over Latino votes’ is a bunch of nonsense. Communicate the American way to them and they will come on board.
Pandering is for losers.
The only thing I see wrong here is the title of this thread. When we stop saying “migrant” and start using “criminal” then we are correctly addressing the situation.
It appears FReepers feel the same way about illegals that Trump does. Unless Trump is the one saying it.
Are you sure? Trump talks about opportunity to start a small business and succeed. Those who support the invasion of the US are providing cheap labor that undercuts the established and legal latino community.
Sunday I was at the pharmacy getting a refill.
The guy ahead of me was an undocumented with his wife and two kids.
The Pharmacist was instructing the guy about the med and the guy wasn't GETTING it.
The pharmacist went to the computer and said ‘what's your name?' The guy didn't answer of course, because he doesn't speak English.
The pharmacist said, spell your name (RIGHT!) Not only didn't the guy speak English to answer the question, he couldn't spell HIS OWN NAME.
The guy reached in his pocket for his ‘card’ and of course the pharmacist FOUND him in the computer and dispensed the meds...NO MONEY CHANGED HANDS!
These people are not even literate IN THEIR OWN LANGUAGE.... they will NEVER be literate here, either. What is the incentive for them to assimilate when it's all free?
Race and cultural identity will win out, just as it does with African-American voters.
Finally, we hear truth to the root of illegal immigration.....and the truth shall set you free
I even had students here in the U.S. tell me in class that they had connections in the oilfield for work and didn't need teachers telling them what to do. Children who are not disciplined to study and learn in school become the ignorant masses who believe they deserve $15 per hour or more for base labor. That mindset is overtaking the U.S. by leaps and bounds and will soon have explosive consequences.
If people here truly knew how devoid of values and culture this Mexican/Latin American immigrant demographic is, we would see outright revolution against leadership which is allowing them in. Now, that still doesn't explain why someone like Trump would use this as an agenda.
I agree with Trump on this area.....
Bttt
You’re so right.
He shouldn’t have said anything.
My point is that he is missing credibility on the subject. One thing people won’t face in this country is that illegal immigration isn’t about border security. It’s about availability of jobs and benefits for illegals. Take those away and the tide will turn. It’s the same with the war on drugs. It isn’t about stopping drug trafficking. The solution is somewhere closer to eliminating the demand.
So, without saying it, ‘America for Americans’.
