This is the first time I have posted so please forgive me if I have this topic in the wrong place. However, I had a questions and was hoping to receive some help.
I am writing an article about gays who are against the homosexual agenda and thought I would include something in there about homosexuality and mental health. In the 1970s the APA changed the classification of homosexuality so it was no longer considered mental illness and many psychology and psychiatry organizations all over the world have followed. However, there was little basis at that time to think it should be changed and that decision has faced criticism as being political more than scientific.
In that vein I was wondering if anyone knew of any homosexuals who believe homosexuality is a mental illness or at the very least think that the 1970s decision by the APA was wrong (while you can include ex-gays, I am looking more for people who currently claim to be gay).
Does anyone know of anything like this?
I think you would have more success finding homosexuals who believe homosexuality to be out of alignment with God’s will for man.
Mentally ill people, regardless of their illness, rarely believe they are the ones that are ill.
I doubt it’s safe to try to find people the way you are trying to do so. The gay activists would damage/destroy anyone claiming to be gay who believes it is a mental illness.

The APA changed the designation to protect their own skins. The Homosexuals gathered en masse and showed up at their meetings. They threatened them, they called them at their homes, they disrupted their work, whatever it took to force them to remove it from the list of mental disorders.
What the APA did, they did for the purpose of protecting themselves from further intimidation. They simply knuckled under to the Gaystapo.

I once (1990’s) had lunch with a closeted gay. We discussed the ADA and medicine. I borught up that if gays hadn’t pressured the shrinks to change thieir status, they would now have equal rights under the ADA. The look on his face was priceless.

Anne Heche stated that she was mentally ill at the time of her relationship with Ellen DeGeneres. Of course she also suffered mental illness before and after that relationship but she went on to a long-term relationship with a man.

My sister, 10 years of heterosexual marriage, plus 23 years of single heterosexual life:
Children: Yes
Domestic violence calls: 0
Drunken/Drugged texts: 0
Family saving her from immediate danger: 0
Rapes: 0
Welfare: No
5 years of homosexual life:
Children: A dog and a cat
Domestic violence/arrests: 4 that we know of
Drunken/Drugged texts: Several times/week
Family saving her from immediate danger: 2
Rapes: 1 (admittedly homosexual in nature while under influence.)
Welfare: Yes.
Guess which lifestyle we prefer?

I should add; the last time we were at a family function together she threatened to stab our mother if she didn’t shut her f>>>ing mouth and kick me in the face if I used the phrase “man boobs” ever again.
Hard to distinguish where the drugs end and the mental illness starts. In any case, her lover is an enabler and also physically abusive law enforcement.
