Two convicted murderers made a daring escape from a maximum-security prison by drilling through cell walls,stealing through plumbing tunnels and then climbing out a manhole, authorities said Saturday. A massive search is underway.

Somehow I wonder if that is true. I have a vague memory of another escape from Dannemora. Maybe it was an escape of a trustee. I’m going to check.

That cop killer is from my area. The officer was buried in the same cemetery where a lot of my family are buried.
That prison is at the top of the state, and I’m hoping they bounced into Canada. They should get picked up quick if they did. They obviously had a bit of help, so they aren’t just roaming without a plan. It will be interesting to see how this goes.
And the pat-a-back fest? Yeah, it’s how they always do in NY. They congratulate themselves and each other for getting out in front (of the cameras) very soon after a V.I.E. Very Important Event that is. See, it shows that they are on the ball, and taking things super seriously.
I wonder if the people who run the search engines deliberately hide that info. I bet the list of innocent people killed by escaped murderers runs at least into the hundreds.
Wait till for the proposals alleging the need to build a new 2 billion dollar prison and increase the size/power of the correctional unions.
They were already hinting of that during their little news conference.
They could be hiding out disguised as professors at Columbia university.

I worked in max secure mental health for 26 years. I can tell you that to engineer an escape from Clinton CF is no mean feat. It is a literal fortress. Power tools, tunnels, and eventually emerging outside the walls from a manhole. This took a long time to pull off. Intricate planning and execution and help. My guess is they had a ride waiting and could very well be out of the country by now. This is akin to busting out of Alcatraz. They are two bad dudes. I hope they get them soon. Folks will be locking their doors in the north country tonight.
You can’t tell from that picture what the walls are like. They are very thick and very tall. Getting out of that prison took help.
I doubt it - these are depraved, brutal, uneducated, poor excuses for humanity, a blot on human dignity and among the worst the country has ever produced.
The escapees would never fit among them.

That may have been the last one. LOL. There haven’t been too many. None that I am aware of.
