These the same ‘experts’ who harp on us about ‘global warming’?

No year mention but today is May 28. So far my furniture has not moved around just yet. I guess that means we are DOOMED should that 9.8 hits! Call me when it hits I’m going back to bed =)

"no less than five planetary alignments will converge with the Earth."

LOL. Looking at the current positions of the planets I get earth, Mercury, the Sun, and Mars in a more or less straight line with Saturn being close but several degrees off plumb. (Not that it matters).

Plait in an article published in Slate wrote: “First, there is simply no way an alignment of planets can cause an earthquake on Earth. It’s literally impossible. I’ve done the math on this before; the maximum combined gravity of all the planets under ideal conditions is still far less than the gravitational influence of the Moon on the Earth, and the Moon at very best has an extremely weak influence on earthquakes.”

This is the same reason why horoscopes are nonsense. If the astronomic bodies were really having some influence on people on Earth, all that would matter is the phase of the moon, not anything having to do with the planets.

How many years have we been hearing that California is going to have this massive earthquake and slide into the ocean? I remember hearing this prediction at least 50 years ago.

Bottom line is that no one knows the day and the hour. We should stop trying to outguess God.

The 24-minute-long earthquake prophecy video, which has now been watched by over half-a-million people, predicts a massive 9.8 earthquake will hit California at 4pm local time on 28 May.

HO humm, only 10 more hours to go. And no Drudge siren.

Ho Humm.

Any chance the epicenter might be the state capital or maybe sanfransicko or LA?

I plan on not letting a quake disturb my 4pm Happy hour social here at my favorite LA Beach City watering hole.
My cocktail of choice?
A Martini, of course.
Shaken, not stirred..

If it does happen at 4:00 PM, Hillary’s first thought will be, “Well, there goes 54 Electoral College votes.”

So if an 9.1 quake hits at 3:30 pm, would that make this guy's prediction wrong?

Seems is being a bit too precise in his speculation.

Okay, now about 8 a.m. Pacific time, so that's about 8 hours to go. Sitting on the other side of the Sierras at 4,800 feet, I'll get the lawn chair and popcorn out to experience the rumble from nearby California.

Ah, all the planets in our solar system aligned sometime in 1982 (fall, I think) and absolutely nothing happened.

Well it IS total crap. While it would be devastating, Scientists have known for awhile that the largest possible quake in CA (primarily San Andreas) is around 8.0. Only Alaska in the U.S. is even capable of a 9.0.

Listen to the scientist, not the “I can puts up a video” crowd.

The ‘89 quake center was 100 miles from San Francisco/Oakland.
You drop a 7 in the center of the Bay Area and its going to be bad.
