Plait in an article published in Slate wrote: “First, there is simply no way an alignment of planets can cause an earthquake on Earth. It’s literally impossible. I’ve done the math on this before; the maximum combined gravity of all the planets under ideal conditions is still far less than the gravitational influence of the Moon on the Earth, and the Moon at very best has an extremely weak influence on earthquakes.”

This is the same reason why horoscopes are nonsense. If the astronomic bodies were really having some influence on people on Earth, all that would matter is the phase of the moon, not anything having to do with the planets.

Nonsense???

Horoscopes are an astonishingly accurate way of predicting the behavior of people who believe in and follow horoscopes!

You may want to rethink the horoscope issue a bit, particularly in the case of Obama and Bill Clinton. Leos tend to be very narcissistic and have a very dark side.
