The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit on Apr. 6 against the federal government to obtain documents related to how groups that are awarded government funding contracts are restricting refugee and undocumented immigrant teenagers access to reproductive health services, including contraception and abortion.
The lawsuit is seeking the release of documents from the Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families about contracts awarded to religious groups that are helping unaccompanied minors, many of whom have crossed into the United States from Mexico.
Brigitte Amiri, an ACLU senior staff attorney, said that religious organizations, particularly the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), are taking millions of dollars in federal funding and refusing to provide teens with critical reproductive health caresuch as emergency contraception and abortionas required by U.S. law.

The ACLU argues that religious freedom does not include the right to take a government contract that requires providing access to health care, and then refuse to provide a teen who has been raped the health care she needs. The ACLU has been a chronic disease in US society for way too long.
However, the USCCB and other religious organizations have invoked the 1993 Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), which bars the federal government from denying government grants and contracts on the basis of a groups free exercise of religion.
So they want alien invaders to kill their spawn?
The ACLU hates Christianity.
“By their works you shall know them”
Looking forward to when they take up the case for Muslims to have publicly funded abortions.
No. As usual they want us to pay for illegal invaders killing their spawn.
The ACLU hates Liberty and the U.S.A.
Words of wisdom - Diabolical forces are formidable, these forces are eternal, and they exist today. The fairy tale is true. The Devil exists. God exists. And for us, as people, our very destiny hinges upon which one we elect to follow.
Doesn’t A stand for American?
They only care about destroying this country by making it into a communist state.
“The Devil exists. God exists. And for us, as people, our very destiny hinges upon which one we elect to follow.”
Let us pray that all who see these words understand them and choose wisely. Eternity is a long time.
So they are outraged by just abortion? But what about the orphanages? adoption? Christian charities provide those for sure, hypocrites.
The C stands for Communism. That’s all we really need to know.
“such as emergency contraception and abortionas required by U.S. law. ”
Notice how they cherry pick what is required by U.S. law. How about the fact the illegals are supposed to have documents AS REQUIRED BY U.S. LAW! But the ACLU doesn’t seem to have a problem with that legal requirement.
“Brigitte Amiri, an ACLU senior staff attorney, said that religious organizations, particularly the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), are taking millions of dollars in federal funding and refusing to provide teens with critical reproductive health caresuch as emergency contraception and abortionas required by U.S. law. ”
They help the administration break our immigration laws and takes taxpayer money to do it. To hell with them.
Exactly.
Well, yeah. Otherwise they can raise the specter of hordes of mongrels having useless, inferior offspring. (Remember, a lot of ACLU lawyers also work for the Planned Parenthood organization - eugenics, racial exterminationists, etc.)
I am for socialism, disarmament and ultimately for abolishing the state itself as an instrument of violence and compulsion. I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class and sole control by those who produce wealth. Communism is, of course, the goal. Not for nothing they are nicknamed the American Communist Litigation Union.
Roger Nash Baldwin, ACLU founder
Never knew that thank you.
