An ex-CFO and Chick-fil-A protestor who lost his job after posting a video rant against one of the chain's employees has since lost his home and lives on food stamps.
Adam Mark Smith, 37, who worked for an Arizona-based medical device manufacturer, was shamed after the 2012 YouTube video was posted showing him berating employee Rachel Elizabeth.
The video which expressed his disdain over the firm's anti-gay marriage stance went viral, and left him unemployed and forced to lose his home.
Nearly three years later, the married father of four is still searching for a job and his family previously had to give away possessions before he was hired and fired again, according to ABC.

His case is entirely different from the case of a CEO (Mozilla?) fired for donating money to groups pro traditional marriage. That CEO did a good job, was said to be fair, didn't bully anybody. In the first case the man was fired for what he did, in the second case for what he believed.
Yes. We appear to be holding at eight for now. :)
Last I read, she was still working there and a couple of websites had sprung up to accept donations for her to go on a vacation in the future.
I believe none of the franchise owners has a CFO position open that pays his level of salary (200k/yr) and benefits (1M in stock options).
Somehow, I rather doubt that he would do at all well starting at the lowest position and working his way up, since along the way he would have to show his competence at the cash register and drive-thru window before he could seek a managerial position.
Crikey! Forgot to put up the full title!
Here we go:
“Medical exec who was fired three years ago over video of him berating Chick-fil-A staff is still unemployed and on food stamps”
Cheers, all.
Well, she was somewhat attractive, but a ten? Hardly...
He ought to seek employment with a ‘gay rights’ advocacy group with whom he’s obviously so sympatico, not only with regard to ‘gay rights’ but also in bullying.
When broke, a job is a job. CfA seems like a place to offer him rehabilitation, should he be so inclined...
No one wants to hire an idiot
First I've heard of it!
I'm going to go look for MOAR articles about this...
What the jerk did was so gay.
I would tend to agree. What little information I have read about him shows not only that he truly does not understand why his actions were deplorable but the only thing he states he ‘regrets’ is his tone of voice to the cashier-clerk.
No surprise that he seems to think he can get a similar-paying job to the one he lost, and that he seems to be incapable of understanding that he needs to set his sights lower.
Significantly lower.
Hi Janey luv! Yes, with only a few exceptions pretty much all the comments at the various sites reporting this agree that he was being a total A$$ and completely deserves what has happened as a result of his actions on that day.
Right - and he’s going around moaning and groaning about his sorry fate ...BOTOH - he was entitled to his free speech ...
Quite welcome.
The problem is that with so many good, qualified people looking for the same job, who would knowingly take upon an unbalanced maniac as this guy has clearly demonstrated that he is? Word gets around and CFO communities are smaller than others. His name is mud, because no one wants to take on the liability of this guys reputation. I’ll say my community is much larger and everyone in our vicinity has left a footprint in the industry. We can immediately find someone who knows what how where and when someone worked in a previous location. He’s in for a long hard ride.
Based upon his comments, the dipstick still does not know what a donger he was being to the sheila with the free water. Still thinks he can land a high-paying job like he (somehow) came on to before.
True. More of a six, I reckoned. Looked better for her interview on the telly, however
This guy is among the lowest of all living creatures. I would never, ever hire him to any kind of job whatsoever. Taking him on as an employee - even as someone who cleans the toilets - would be incredibly risky and would expose my company to litigation on a large scale.
The young lady he harassed at the drive-through, well she deserves an enormous amount of credit for the dignified way she handled him. Most of us would have kicked him in the head about 50 times.
Check out this video in which this pompous and arrogant jerk decided to show the world how despicable he is.
Hmmm. ACORN, SEIU, and the ACLU spring to mind.
