A woman waiting for a bus was raped and left for dead in a savage attack described by detectives as attempted murder.
An 18-year-old woman was attacked in the Malvern Road area of Leeds shortly before 11pm on Friday night.

It’s not a new use for ‘Asian’ in Britain. Asian refers to Indian subcontinent. Chinese and other East Asians are referred to by their ethnicity. Don’t know why, but it’s been that way a long time.

True what you say. I can only speak for myself, but I feel an affinity for England in huge respects...one respect is because my mom is from there, and I got to visit twice as a child and meet many of my relatives. But it’s where a lot of our ideals in the United States were borne from. I feel sad that Europe has slid into what it is now. It’s a harbinger for what will happen here and what is currently happening. They are ahead of the curve in their slide, so they will, too, be in the ways they will hopefully rectify things. I’m even coming to respect some of the French. I wouldn’t have said that in the early 2000s that’s for sure.
