You must be in the southwest.Phoenix, maybe, or southern AZ, but certainly not in NM. We are experiencing lows in the teens over most of the state, with a lot of single digits north of the Albuquerque metro area.
A lot of folks don't understand, NM is desert southwest, but much of it is high mountains (Albuquerque ranges from just below 5,000 feet in some areas to well over 6,000 in others). It gets cold here. We just don't get much snow in most parts. A lot goes around us in Albuquerque and hits the east mountains or the eastern plains of NM.

We had a great time snow camping last weekend. 8” of fresh global warming covering our tents.
It was incredible.

rather have the snow than the cold! Most winters I would agree with you. But this winter has been so bad in terms of snowfall that I'm happy when it's too cold to snow.
I'm getting used to temperatures below 0 or in single digits. I don't like them, but they are infinitely preferable to more than 6 feet of snow in three weeks.

"It's currently 37oF in Moscow - RUSSIA! 12o F colder here than in Russia?!"
 Good grief.
One of our local weathermen (WSET-13) used to blather about global warming. Funny...he doesn't do that anymore.

Whenever old man Winter starts to get you down, just remember what Grandma used to say.......
“Snow is just rain that froze its ass off.”
Grandma had lots of sayings like that after she had five or six snorts of her “medicine”.

Love it. Looks like this photo was taken on a deck. We won’t see our decks until July. We have at least 5 feet of snow on each one.

Just a return to "normal" temperatures would be nice. Is that too much to ask?
It is 20 degrees below "normal" every day.

Lowest temps I ever experienced in my life were in NM. -18F that time. I never saw that kind of cold, even in Alaska. Granted, I was in Alaska during the summer... but still. -18 is plenty cold enough as far south as NM. At 7000 ft ASL.

For the record, I was nowhere near the scene when this atrocity was committed.
I am merely passing on photo someone poster on Facebook.

I live where we usually get 200 - 300 inches of snow. not that much yet this year, Lake Superior Lake Effect snow held back by the temperatures - tourism is down. The Mackinac bridge was closed due to the high wind conditions and a multi vehicle snow accident. Would you believe a Moose refused to move off the highway up here traffic backed up for a time until the moose decided to move! Did not have the digital camera handy to take the picture.
