Do yourself, your mind and the country a favor and watch something else. Better yet, read a book. Celebrities would quit giving parties for themselves if no one came.

Last night Hubby and I watched The Theory of Everything. The performance by Eddie Redmayne was spectacular, really; and, I believe it is what lifted the movie from just an okay bio-pic to a good movie.

According to the black activists, Selma didn’t receive enough Oscar nominations, even though one of them was for best picture.
And the guy who portrayed Martin Luther King didn’t get nominated. Nor did Oprah; as I understand she inserted herself into a role in that movie.
These people poison the well, so to speak. So now if Selma doesn’t win best picture, it will be racist. If it does win, they will still be pissed off at how a movie wins best picture without actors/actresses/directors/producers associated with that movie being nominated or winning. They got us coming and going.

“Ida” was a wonderful movie.

I think I’ll watch the ostentatious opulence of The Red Carpet Gown Pageant, then go to bed with a book. :)

Moving it up, but I’m currently hooked on the ‘Sherlock’ series with Benedict Cumberbatch. :)

A movie is the sum of all of it’s parts-including special effects, costumes and music.
Maybe one single thing doesn’t stand out but put together a great movie can be made.

I know what you are saying. But the question is, will this pass muster with Al Sharpton and his boys? Or will they find something to bitch about, even if Selma wins best picture?
To: Dilbert San Diego
Of course they will bitch...it’s inevitable.
I have seen 6 of the 7 Best Picture nominees, but not Selma.
As soon as this racial garbage started I scratched it off of my list.

I'll be watching.
In the order they will be called here are my predictions for the only categories I really care about:
J.K. Simmons (Supporting Actor)
Patricia Arquette (Supporting Actress)
Richard Linklater (Director)
Julianne Moore (Actress)
Michael Keaton (Actor)
Birdman (Picture)
I'm sticking to 'em!
