Fox News Correspondent James Rosen reported on Wednesday night that a major investor in the parent company of Fox News has been implicated in financing the terrorist group al-Qaeda. Rosen made the embarrassing disclosure in a story on the channels Special Report show hosted by Bret Baier.
The alleged al-Qaeda financier, Saudi billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, is a very close friend of Rupert Murdoch and his family, who control major media companies like News Corp and 21st Century Fox. The latter is now the parent company of the Fox News Channel.
Fox News is to be congratulated for reporting on a developing scandal that puts its chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Rupert Murdoch, in a very bad light.
Shortly after the September 11, 2001 terror attacks, Alwaleed offered a $10 million contribution to a 9/11 fund for families and victims. Then-New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani rejected the money because Alwaleed had blamed the terror attacks on U.S. Middle East policy.
Rosen, a hard-charging investigative reporter, really had no alternative but to cover the damaging disclosures. The allegations were made by Zacarias Moussaoui, the so-called 20th hijacker of 9/11, and provided in the form of a sworn statement to attorneys for families of 9/11 victims for their lawsuit against Saudi Arabia.
But Alwaleed is much more than just an investor in Murdochs companies. He is also a personal friend of Murdochs who boasted in 2005 that a phone call to Murdoch resulted in the Fox News Channel altering its coverage of Muslim riots in France, in order to eliminate references to the religious affiliation of the Muslim extremists.
In 2002, it was revealed that Alwaleed had contributed $500,000 to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a Muslim Brotherhood front that has boasted of influence over Fox entertainment programs.

And it begins ... bring down FOX.
Don’t we have someone residing in the White House that is doing the same thing with American taxpayer money?
Meh...Something everybody has known since 2002.
This guy sold a lot of his shares in FOX not long ago. I’m sure it was a financial decision.
Let Bret Baier replace all the ho’s at FNC.. about 90% of the staff.
This is great. But alaweed still has 1% ownership.. why?
That explains some of the move to the left at Fox since 2004
FOX is owned by a flaming liberal. Big whoop..Bring their asses down. They spoon feed a careful message and many (even on this site) eat it up like it is some how “conservative”. That network is as laughable as CNN if you turn your f’ing tv off and do your own research.
The real scandal is that the Saudi financing and involvement in 9/11 is well known and been covered up.
You have had too much weed lately.
There’s still a few conservatives at FNC - Bret Baier the best - I’m thinking there is going to be a very different lineup coming very soon. Can’t wait to see the mood on the host’s faces tomorrow.
That network is as laughable as CNN if you turn your fing tv off and do your own research.
What ever you’re drinking isn’t helping your ability to rationalize.
Scandal-Schmandal! Meanwhile nationally known as a high dollar tax cheat, Rev. Al Sharpton takes delivery of his 32nd three piece Rainbow Sharkskin suit. Al wants to get all dolled up for his News Show.
No wonder Fox news won’t expose Obama as a muslim.
America’s in great danger.
I am sure Obama is lining up the air strikes as we type...(/s, sorta)
maybe we will see an improvement now in Fox News
at least less ‘fair and balance’ when it comes to reporting on the vast Saudi IslamoNAzi jihadi financing and training network
(including its prominent role in bringing a certain bHusseinO to America and paying for his expensive university tuition and part of his election campaign)

Bret Baier was searing, scorching tonight. Unchained.
You are so right. At best some of the commentators are elite Republicans. They have no knowledge of America outside their little circle and not one traditional value of their own.
