The authors say the case suggests doctors should avoid using bacteria from overweight donors for such treatment. It also suggests that gut flora might have something to do with the obesity epidemic.

I think we’re going to find that gut bacteria has a far greater effect on us than we ever realized. Manipulating it can be a great medical breakthrough and a danger.

I wonder if it is just a coincidence. Is there skinny bacteria and fat bacteria?

You joke but think about that for a minute - If a family (parents and kids) are overweight then the focus would be on the similar diet, genetics, demographics etc etc etc With all of the similarities there would be an easy explanation based on correlation when they may merely have the same bacterial imbalance.
Pretty interesting and highlights the way stats can be completely misleading.

But this also suggest trying the reverse..
taking an obese person
kill off the gut bacteria
Then to transplant gut bacteria from a skinny person and see what happens...

“fecal transplant”?
Like, when you have a low supply or something, you can get some from someone who has “extra”?
Side note - due to Obama’s economy, I’m always looking for ways to supplement my income.
How much are donors paid for this procedure?

Depending on the delivery method, I would consider being in on the trials for that. Nothing else has worked long-term. :)
