Sarah Palin -- who inspired an "SNL" impression for the ages -- will return to "Saturday Night Live" for the Feb. 15 anniversary special. Not a lot more on the detail front, but People Magazine -- which first had this online an hour ago -- says a "source close to Palin" confirmed, and so we will take that as a "yes."

(the above was also from the article)
More importantly, she was invited back.
Many are not.
Would not be surprised to watch
Mr. RomneyCARE book a competing show
as in the past.
To Extremely Extreme Extremist (please tell us how you really feel regarding politics):
Agree with your assessment of what Palin is doing. Going directly “into the belly of the beast” (an old Weatherman saying, probably from Bill Ayers). Also adding some class and a very subtle bit of intelligent humor. This is something the Left either can’t handle or understand.
If you remember the scene in Jurassic Park where the hunter is going after one Velociraptor, and gets it in his sights, when all of a sudden a second Raptor jumps out of the bushes from an ambush and kills him. The hunter’s last words were “Smart girl”!.
Go, Sara. You are the modern version of a conservative Raptor, taking out our enemies through humor and memorable lines.
If we are called “dinosaurs” for our views in preserving the Constitution and our way of life, then we might as well be the most effective fighting type of dinosaurs, the Raptors.
“Bite, Baby, Bite”.
Governor Sarah Palin's strength and fearlessness is undeniable. She truly is the 21st Century version of President Ronald Reagan. This appearance will inspire Conservatives and drive the American-hating liberals into a frenzy. Good for you, Sarah! We win, they lose!
I’m actually wondering if this will bring back her nemesis as well.
Tina Fey?
It would be good to get some more of them both. :D
Another ping.
Our Sarah will crush that little nobody and leave Tiny Tina Fey mewing and puking into a puddle. Governor Sarah Palin has an impressive track record of utterly demolishing leftists. Remember the one-sided VP debate of 2008? Old Slow Joe never recovered from how he was taken apart by Palin.
Yep, with STRICT guidelines.
It’s difficult to take anyone who does SNL seriously, IMHO.
I can’t see Lady Thatcher even entertaining the idea. I don’t envision real leaders resorting to this nonsense.
Did you know that a Tina Fey quote is the same thing as a Sarah Palin quote?
Close, but not close enough. The hunter actually says “Clever girl”.
Good for her. No doubt Breitbart would have approved. SNL, among other similar outlets, shape culture. We may not like that it has such an out-sized (and mostly negative) influence but it does. Take the fight to the enemies turf and show you can hold your own. If we really want to change the direction of this country, we have to at least have an impact on the culture. Palin is witty and can show that, despite all the vitriol, she can take a few shots and still stand tall. She might even change some minds about her.
Nor can I, but the world of messaging and the outlets one goes to in order to get ideas across has changed. You gotta be able to roll with it. They will poke fun at Palin whether she appears on the show or not. Why not show she can take some jabs, and still proudly stand up for conservatism even in the enemies venues?
I’m sure Tina Fey will be there. She was head writer for the show for 7 years.
One part of my brain agrees with you, but the other part agrees with the post at #3.
Agree emphatically. This is a shark-jump.
Respectfully disagree.
Still can’t tell if she’s going to run in 2016, but she’s still on-track anyway.
:D
Regarding #3 - if she’s going to win people over by going on SNL, that would have happened by now as she’s been on tv over and over again, including SNL.
I hate to say it, but the “haters are gonna hate”. They have a mental disorder and will certainly not be won over by appearing on SNL. They will just use her, once again, for fodder.
