ABOARD THE PAPAL PLANE Pope Francis said Thursday he is convinced that global warming is "mostly" man-made and that he hopes his upcoming encyclical on the environment will encourage negotiators at a climate change meeting in Paris to make "courageous" decisions to protect God's creation.
Francis has spoken out frequently about the "culture of waste" that has imperiled the environment and he elaborated en route to the Philippines. While there, Francis will meet with survivors of the 2013 Typhoon Haiyan, which the government has said was an example of the extreme weather conditions that global warming has wrought.
"I don't know if it (human activity) is the only cause, but mostly, in great part, it is man who has slapped nature in the face," he said. "We have in a sense taken over nature."
"I think we have exploited nature too much," Francis said, citing deforestation and monoculture. "Thanks be to God that today there are voices, so many people who are speaking out about it."

Dear Mr Pope -
“Man” does not have enough power to overcome the “as long as the earth endures” promise that God made to Noah.

In the year 9595
I'm kinda wondering if man is gonna be alive
He's taken everything this old earth can give
And he ain't put back nothing, woah woah

This Pope is a flaming moron! Virtually everything he says and does is just incredibly stupid or ‘un-Pope’ like.
While he was there, did he go and lay in garbage with homeless people on the streets?

That did it.
The pope is a dork.
(Coming from one raised as a Catholic.)

Does his selection expose the way he was selected as not from God? Or is his selection as Pope allowed by God, not that he is approved by God, but given for a time and purpose, as I think Obama was ‘given’ to America?

Maybe the Pope should take all the Vatican’s wealth, and give it to Al Gore.
Temperatures would instantly subside.

**Give it time. I wouldnt doubt if his Second Vatican Council will acknowledge that non-Christian religions are legitimate means to sanctification.**
No need. It is already in the catechism.

Seems Francis the talking pope, John Kerry, and Barry Soetoro are all on the same page.
What are they planning to do?
To: Citizen Zed
I think this pope should go into Seclusion and use the rest of his Life to pray to God for Guidance and Direction.
He appears to be on the wrong track.
I’d hate to believe he got this Ides from Obama.
FREIGHTENING????

This is an idiot Pope. Go fill the world with babies you can't afford to feed but don't affect the planet while doing so?
The church doesn't pay for these consequences but suggests all nations should tax workers to support other people's desire to vastly grow families while being unable to care for them.
Then goes on in faith to preach about global climate issues (which is a false religion to push social change by the left) without acknowledging all the scientific evidence for warming was faked.
I am Catholic, but we still have a dufus Bob's Big Burger boy as Pope.

We have had bad popes before. We have had some very bad popes before. Such popes do not interfere with the Magisterium, do not try to change the beliefs of the Church. They are bad because their minds are on other things, politics and such. They can do and espouse most anything they like but it does not affect the Magisterium. People who gasp and say, "How can this pope be infallible???" miss it. Infallibility inheres in the pope together with all the bishops and only applies to what has always been believed but perhaps never formalized. If the pope says that the sun rises in the north that would be strange but it has no religious significance, no matter how earnestly he might declare it. It is not true and he cannot make it part of Belief. Medici popes did some really terrible things but they were politicians who got hold of the papal throne and what they did affected the worshipers in that it caused turmoil, but it was a lapse, an interregnum as it were. None of it affected the Faith. This, too shall pass.

I gave up on Pope Francis when he collaborated with Obortion to appease Castro. Little did I know he would follow that with something even worse. He has become ridiculous.

We worship an omnipotent God and the forces of nature are controlled in the grand order of God’s hand. What he does not control is the human being whom he has given “free choice.” Freedom to do God’s will or not do his will. But the natural order is primary. Has man been able to stop a cold front from moving across the continent, has man been able to control a hurricane or tornado, can man stop the tides of the ocean? God is in control and whatever screw up, he will make it right, in his time.
