Doc and Scotty are dead Jim.
I guess we’ll have to see how it plays out. I for one am not a fan of the “gritty reboot” format, but I thought “Enterprise” had a lot of potential.
If the series was modeled after the JJ Abrams movies it could potentially be huge.
I actually thought the “Star Trek” prequel was pretty good. Not great by any means but watchable.
They had a good 7of9 type character always dressed in skin tights. I think she was Vulcan.
And series
So what does CW stand for?
Commander T’Pol, played by Jolene Blalock was the catsuit-clad beauty on “Enterprise.”
“They had a good 7of9 type character always dressed in skin tights. I think she was Vulcan.”
Jolene Blalock. Not bad.
They could do a pre_sequel i.e. “Star Trek: Federation” covering the years after Enterprise, but before TOS (~ 2160-2260)
Make it look and feel like Firefly and you’ve got a winner.
The original ST was great.
All of the TV sequels sucked, some of the early movies were OK, but the JJ Abrams movies brought the franchise into the 21st century.
Time for a comparable TV series.
There were two reasons Jolene Blalock was on that show and neither one had anything to do with being able to act.
The BSG reboot (that is celebrating its 10th anniversary series launch this week) was far, far more interesting, even if it did use the shell of an old bit of 70's cheese.
HEY HOLLYWOOD: MAKE SOMETHING ORIGINAL!!!
The last Star Trek had a female Kirk and an African-Vulcan Spock.
IF they do the Worf show, OR better yet Star Trek Continues with a bigger budget, we will have a winner.

While alienating tons of star trek fans. Too bad those abrams movies will never stand the test of time.

I don’t know about not reaching for eternal truths. The original had the Bread and Circuses episode with the memorable ending “sir it’s not the sun god they worship it’s the Son of God. “
