I wonder if all this talk of NYC and Paris and London is just a smoke screen. As I noted a few posts up, NYC is ready for some crap, with well-trained emergency teams, a highly prepared police force, a large military presence and just an overall heightened awareness.

But what if all that chatter was just diversionary? Wouldn't it much easier to go jihadi in Kansas City, or Raleigh, or Denver, or Indianapolis, or any other city that isn't so primed to respond as NYC is?

I hope all the mid-sized American cities are prepared to come under fire.
