A petition started Monday on Change.org to ban CBS analyst Phil Simms from calling Denver Broncos games had gotten more than 19,600 signatures by early evening.
Apparently many Broncos fans think Simms was biased
....
However you feel about retired New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms, the Broncos petition is getting a lot of signatures. The number of signers went up by nearly 1,000 signatures in the time it took me to write this.

Most bronco fans turn down the tv and listen to the radio announcers.

Howard Cosell and the “opportunistic Redskins”. We didn’t like him either, but we just ignored the old fool. He was out of his sport when doing football anyway.

When it comes to football play-by-play, as a "national announcer" I think Kevin Harlan is the best. He not only describes the action clearly and accurately in real-time, he can do so with great passion and without coming off as favoring one team or the other --- he calls it the same way for both teams.
I really appreciate his fine work.

That’s right. KOA Radio. I think that started when Howard Kosel was bashing the Broncos. Drunks in bars were breaking TV screens. LOL

I'm one of them. I mute anything with that numbskull and I had to stop listening to Dungy also. Same reason, he disrespected my REDSKINS!

Sometimes I wonder if Phil Simms played without a helmet.

One bar in Denver has a half time amusement where whoever won the right got throw a brick through the screen when Howard I Cossel took over the halftime talking head position. I hear the only reason he got the job was that his wife was high in the network.

Of course Phil Simms is bias. He thoroughly enjoyed decimating the Broncos in Superbowl XXI

Why support an institution that use race as a consideration for hiring? Such a thing is egregious and should not be tolerated by anyone, especially those of the race it is targeting.
White people supporting the NFL is like paying for an obscene phone call.

I don’t know about biased but he’s dumb as a stump. He’s such a hayseed. Can’t stand watching games he’s broadcasting. Often turn the sound off.

As a relocated Bronco’s fan, I forgot about the KOA feed. I’ll have to go back to it.
After having worked in sports for over thirty years, the pretty broadcast boys disgust me. Radio is content. TV is presentation.

The NFL used gender to choose their employees who would deal with spousal violence issues. They've dug themselves such a deep hole by pandering, I can't see how the NFL comes out of this without being permanently tarnished.
And what about naming a team the Broncos or the Bears? In these times of concern about promoting non-violence in their players, should the teams be named after wild out of control animals? I think not. (sarcasm, of course, hopefully)

My college’s team name is “Ragin Cajuns”. As a Cajun, I could as easily be offended by taking the word “Ragin” to be negative, and the gripe writes itself after that. The NFL is not about football anymore. One has to watch a pre-game show that looks more like a perp walk.

I agree. Kevin Harlan and Boomer Esiason are the best.
