My college’s team name is “Ragin Cajuns”. As a Cajun, I could as easily be offended by taking the word “Ragin” to be negative, and the gripe writes itself after that. The NFL is not about football anymore. One has to watch a pre-game show that looks more like a perp walk.
Football as it's meant to be played will offend some people. Trying to win over people who only want to destroy it is pathetic.
I'm okay with former players setting the tone for dealing with the issue of concussions. Perhaps former players should set the tone for other issues, too.
