Others could take a cue from Jim Nance’s statement.
But he’s probably allowed to say “give up your guns so millionaire criminals will stop beating up their girlfriends, the bill of rights doesn’t apply to you, peasants”
Nantz fully understands his job and how it impacts his audience.

Nantz understands America’s plea to “shut-up and performe”, whether it is the Ditzie Sluts, James “Arrogance Personified” Taylor of just plain old Phil Simms.
His paycheck is issued for his knowledge, banter and commentary. He keeps it in those bounds.

Football hero turns out to be a PC wimp. He says “Redskins” repeatedly in every Skins game on the recently released Madden 15. Doubt he’ll call for EA to remove those references from the game.
So which Washington team will he be referring to? The Skins, Nationals, Wizards, or Capitals?
