Sounds like a good place for a lobbyist meeting, or a dinner for Mafia chieftains.

I thought most upscale restaurants employ deaf waiters ?

To: EveningStar
Well I guess I'd rather a deaf waiter than a dumb waiter.
Saw the video, seems like a decent enough place to go eat. But I know I'd screw up the sign language and order something I didn't want. Then I'd have to figure out how to tell them in sign language that what I thought I ordered wasn't what I got.

I’ve been to restaurants with only dumb waiters.

Sure sounds like a great money maker, how about a blind cook to really draw in the crowds.

I suppose telling them not to take wooden nickels is not an appropriate tip?

I don’t like restaurants that change the name of things for their gimmick. If I want a hamburger I want to be able to say “give me a hamburger” not something goofy like “pacos billy burger”. I think making me use sign language counts. Nothing wrong with giving deaf people jobs, but I still want to say “give me a hamburger”.

I’m sure people that there are some people who would pay good money to watch him read the hot waffle iron.

I guess pointing at the picture of the hamburger on the menu will have to do

But they probably put mayo on it, where’s my “no mayo” picture?!
And really if we’re going to start pointing at stuff might as well go all Genghis Grill put the pictures on a tablet and make IT the waiter.
