Geez. All she proved was that she has a screw loose, is lacking self-respect and dignity, and has no regard for others who had the misfortune of crossing her path. How sad is it when someone uses the standards of Gotham as a moral code? What else to expect from a daughter of a ho of Babylon (Demi).

For the record, my Mom grew up very poor, and was only allowed to wear shoes to school after the first frost each year. She was a high school graduate, with 12 members in the senior class. My parents' favorite recreation was going bowling. We owned one car when I was growing up, and the homes we lived in were typically around 1000 sq ft. But even when she was old, she never went to buy groceries without touching up her hair, putting on makeup and making sure she was 'presentable'...
It’s like the person who wrote that didn’t even bother to read the articles from 1937 very thoroughly or even understand that TV was hardly a thing then. Still very experimental.
Well I’ve made more than one hiring decision on the basis that an interviewee did not feel the need to provide the position any respect by showing up unshaven, unkempt, and underdressed.

I wear shorts every day. I work at a hardware store and I like the cargo shorts with extra pockets to carry a tape measure, utility knife, cell phone, etc. When the temps hit 80 as a high in Texas, it is shorts every day except for church.
Did that kid apply for a job with you?
Turns out they don’t. At least not most of the time if you play your cards right.

uh oh,,, I wear shorts & tshirt to work about 3/4 of the year sitting in a cube and cruising the halls...
Fellow employees fought hard to gain this privilege many years ago,, and many still participate.
But I draw the line at unkept hair,facial tats,body piercings and stinkyness..
Because shorts are more comfortable, so long as it’s not cold out.
All my clothing except underwear are bought 2nd hand or free from exchanges - it doesn’t take much money to look appropriate - and yes don’t get me started on the piercings, ear lobes crap and cheek or lip jewelry - Yuck and Yikes - LOL
