When one thinks of the warming climate, the phrases that pop into mind probably aren't "nausea and vomiting," "sharp, stabbing pain," and "blood in your urine." Yet these awful symptoms could become more prolific in the coming decades, as hotter weather appears to be linked with the risk of growing a kidney stone.
This disheartening prognosis comes from doctors at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and elsewhere who've completed a seven-year-long study of 60,433 patients in several major U.S. cities. When the temperature goes up, there's a subsequent spike in the number of people visiting hospitals for stone issues, they write in Environmental Health Perspectives. According to lead author Gregory E. Tasian: "We found that as daily temperatures rise, there is a rapid increase in the probability of patients presenting over the next 20 days with kidney stones."

Do they seriously want me to believe that a kidney stone can form in a matter of weeks?
Look for more cases of dehydration, too. When the temperatures go up....blah, blah, blah!
These people have no shame.
I’m just wondering if, during this short time, they monitored other external factors - like water supply, food intake and source, medicines taken, a whole plethora of things. Examine the source of the money, and you’ll have your answer.
I've had three, and all presented in the summer.
Found some work of his and another researcher released in March of this year. “Evaluation and Medical Management of Kidney Stones in Children”.
It has a lot of specifics about chemical makeup of the stones and the distribution of compounds, but it says that more study is needed [the standard “go to” conclusion in most any externally funded research paper].
Frankly, making this leap of mean temperature vs. cities and occurrences of kidney stones, etc. seems just too convenient for the Global Warming alarmists. I’m thinking this is more Poli-Med science than medicine, myself.
“I’ve had three, and all presented in the summer.”
AlGore would disagree. He says you’re getting all these stones because of the pickup truck you drive. Time to add extra heat shielding to your transmission tunnel.
And it wouldn’t hurt to wear fireproof undies either.
Yes, but is “Global Warming” responsible?
It sounds like we need to outlaw warm weather.
Climate change causes me to pass gas whenever Obama speaks.
Kidney stones cause discomfort because racism.
Even by their own hoax-estimates, they are talking about global changes of 1-2 degrees centigrade.
Moving from Boston to Miami you will experience much more temperature change yearly than the 1-2 degrees estimated by the climate fraudsters.
So my question: does moving to Miami cause Kidney stones?
So people in the tropics are heavily afflicted by kidney stones? Rates are higher in FL than ND? No? Well then, no correlation to heat.
Weather “experts” say polar vortex returning
Is there anything global warming climate change can't do?
> doctors at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and elsewhere who’ve completed a seven-year-long
Multiple doctors funded over seven years? And there’s no money in global warming? Anyone who studies anything is probably trying to find even the loosest connection to temperature.
...........meanwhile, an Arctic front is coming down from Canada bringing temperatures to well below normal in the coming week.
What next will climate change cause? ADHD? Or will it be Incontinence?
Add that to the list!
Post nasal drip and the heartbreak of psoriasis.
