The American people have been given a lot of bad information about the link between saturated fat, cholesterol, and heart disease. This misinformation is slowly being corrected, and more research is being done in the area, but most medical organizations still recommend low-fat diets as heart healthy.
We consume a lot less fats, and as a result, a lot more carbohydrates. (An unintended side effect: This diet has been blamed for the large increase in type 2 diabetes in our society over the last few decades.)
I predict that in 10 years the medical profession will make yet another dietary U-turn, and finally acknowledge that dietary fats actually have little to do with heart disease, let alone weight loss. It has already happened with hydrogenated fats, which doctors used to recommend as heart healthy but are now acknowledged as a major contributor to heart disease.

You are thinking of bentonite clay, which also has medicinal uses.
I’ve lost 52.5 pounds since January on the low carb, high-protein diet.

No, but bulletproof coffee turns me into Wonder Woman!
The doctor tells you to not eat fat. The nutritionist tells you not to eat carbs. That leaves grass clippings.
High cholesterol is determined by one thing. Your parents. I refuse to take statins. They make my feet hurt so bad I can hardly walk. Plus, if you’ll notice they say taking statins “with a healthy diet and exercise”. But they don’t know what a healthy diet is. I take niacin and let the levels fall where they may.
I quit in early 2003, after smoking for 35 years.
It is rough, but it can be done.
I did gain about 20# that I have been trying to get rid of for a decade, however.
I have had the same experience. We have very similar diets. I had to get rid of my size 44s and am now between 36 and 38 pants. Carbs are the bad actor, and corn is the worst offender.
Vapor cigs. They absolutely work and are a heckuva lot cheaper than smoking. I quit with them 1 1/2 yrs ago. Recently visited family in another state and have a cousin there that was smoking 2 packs a day and wanted to quit. I took her down to the Indian cigarette store and showed her what to buy. She texted me yesterday that she hasn’t had a cigarette in about 11 days.
They work.

The purpose of “diatomaceous earth (food grade) and silver biotics” ?
A year ago I switched from high-carb to a high-fat/protein meat-n-cheese diet. (Lots of saturated fat: coconut oil, palm oil, grass-fed butter, grass-fed beef, grass-fed cheese, raw milk and cream.)
Was just trying to eat better and repair the damage done to my insides by processed foods. Lost 30 lbs. without even trying to.
It was disappointing to discover I’ve been lied to all my life by “mainstream medicine”. But now I know...fat will make you thin, and carbs will make you fat.

Anyone can lose weight with a simple diet plan, lower your caloric intake.
How about don’t bend your elbows when you eat?

and now that I have clicked on your link I know way too much about you...better pick up the phone Alex is calling
Second, why do you associate people who eat differently from you with being " CommieLib, hipster jack wagons"?, as you put it. When did what people eat become political? Pretty ignorant, if you ask me.
This article is just more Paleo propaganda, which is just discredited Atkins nonsense.
