Friendly reminder, America. They think you're stupid:
A top White House official blamed a computer crash for the disappearance of emails from embattled former Internal Revenue Service official Lois Lerner, echoing the explanation the agency gave Congress last week for the two years' worth of missing subpoenaed correspondence. "I think it's entirely reasonable. And it's fact," incoming White House press secretary Josh Earnest told reporters aboard Air Force One Monday. "You've never heard of a computer crashing before?" he asked.

Just call the NSA or Edward Snowden.
That is absolutely the best name for a White House spokesman. Reminds me of Ernest Lee Sincere.
Or maybe not.
You never heard of marxist bearded-savage-loving America-hating liars in the white house?
I’ve never heard of an email server not backed up.
The IRS would never hear of a computer crashing if it were a taxpayer - it would be assumed the taxpayer was hiding something.
Strange. I’ve never had emails on my “computer”. Any email system I’ve had for a couple decades now have been on centralized systems (private and corporate. I’ve been told that those systems are backed up and archived.
He’s talking to the low-information types. If you know that he’s full of crap, he’s not talking to you.
There is backups. They are lying or the distroyed everything and are trying to co er it up.
Now I understand, they are using the Obamacare developers and systems for the IRS too.
they have an IT department..
when a computer crashes they get called
they log the crash
they order parts
they set up a new computer
they may try to make a backup -OR- restore her computer from their last backup...
-AND-
The emails she sent and recived came through an email server- they are not stored locally
try this yourself at work- go to a new machine and log onto your email account- you will see all your emails
the SERVER would have had to crash- and if the $2.2 billion they spend on IT is not getting us a triple redundant backup of IRS data than where is the money going?
These emails must be really baaaaaaaaaaddd!!!
NOTHING is ever lost on a hard drive. That is- unless someone intentionally destroys it.
Computers crash all the time..but you don’t lose your emails over it. Ive had computer hard drive failures, never lost an email, its always stored on the email server, like hotmail, or yahoo..depending on what you use..the White House got rid of the emails that made the Dems and Obama look bad..look at what was “Lost” DOJ emails, White House emails, and emails to Dems in Congress..oh..how convenient
oh and I forgot to add- where is the paper trail of the IT department log of her crash problems and fix?
My response: “You’ve never heard of an Exchange server before?”
Jesus saves. Obama presses escape.
