Harrison Ford has been injured on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. The actor injured his ankle on Thursday, and was taken to a local hospital.
"Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates," said a statement from Disney.
A source tells THR that the actor, who reprises his role as Han Solo from the original franchise, was injured by the door of the Millennium Falcon, the spacecraft that his character pilots in the original films. The spaceship looks to be making a return in the sequel.
Ford, 71, along with the rest of the cast of Disney and Lucasfilm's project, is currently shooting the hotly anticipated J.J. Abrams film in England.
Our gym has a good-sized staff. I regularly see them working with people recovering from cancer, elderly people who’ve newly taken up exercise, and others who are highly motivated and see great benefits. It’s a job where one can do a lot of good for people.
Eighty five year old fan chicks?
Oh, it’s so highly rewarding, I can’t tell you.
Why not? I’m fine with it
I have never figured out what it is about that man (DC), but whatever it is, he’s got it! Harrison Ford does his own stunts and I admire him for that .... he also flies a helicopter, was even involved in a mountain rescue a while back ... manly man for sure. Enquiring minds want to know!
I hadn’t really thought about this occupation, but it might be something to suggest to my more fitness-oriented children. One of my teenaged daughters gets along great with elderly people, and we’ve already talked about her taking Certified Nursing Assistant training as soon as she’s 16.
Fitness training might be another option, not all the years of school like a Physical Therapist, getting into the job much more quickly.
I’ve got nothing against Harrison Ford, but there’s no accounting for chemistry. Sean Connery, *Whoooooooo*, Harrison Ford, *shrug*.
LOL I had the exact same thought!
excellent!
I know it has a ramp, but does it have hand rails on the entry and lavatories?

CGI please and pass it on to blade runner 2
Oh, that’s awesome.
Our center’s pool has high school and college swimmers practicing, but when you’ve taught them Sunday School, they’re always little boys, no matter how fantastic their muscles are. “I told your mom I saw you, hon, and you were looking really healthy.”
I met a nice man of about 70 this spring, when some of my boys had swimming lessons. He’s there every day, swims and uses the gym, and we exchanged history-book suggestions.
I wouldn’t hit that with Obi Wan’s lightsaber.
FWIW, I think Sean Connery didn’t become REALLY handsome until he was in his 60s ....

A friend of mine has his 2008 Louis Vuitton ad on her fridge door - the Bahamas beach, the hat, the rolled up pants .... looks pretty good for an older gent of 78.
My grandfather said getting old sucks but it’s better than the alternative. And Han isn’t the focus of the story, these stories are the next generation, but the survivors are still around.
I have a really bad feeling about this ....
