A woman abandoned as a newborn 27 years ago in an Allentown, Pennsylvania, fast-food restaurant bathroom has been reunited with her birth mother after a social media blitz, local media reported on Wednesday.
Katheryn Deprill, left in the Burger King bathroom only hours after she was born, met her birth mother on Monday in a lawyers office, she told WFMZ television in an interview.
Deprill said her birth mother, who she did not identify, recounted getting pregnant after being raped while on a trip abroad and giving birth in her childhood bedroom at the age of 17. Her parents did not know she was pregnant and she was afraid to tell them, she said.
She left me somewhere she knew Id be found. She did not want to throw me away, Deprill told the station.

I am very glad that her mother wasn't a raging feminist, her three children should be grateful as well.

She should count herself lucky. It took 28 years for the BK drive thru to prep my order.

Amazing! When I first saw her appeal to find her birth mother, I thought it was going to be impossible. But, a few weeks later, it happened.

I guess her mother didn’t want her to die but leaving her in a cold nasty public bathroom? I’m sorry but there is no redemption there.

I wish people would stop putting ‘birth’ and ‘biological’ in front of mother and father.

I guess her mother didnt want her to die but leaving her in a cold nasty public bathroom? Im sorry but there is no redemption there. There will be almost 4,000 dead American babies today who would easily settle for such lack of redemption. And 4,000 dead babies tomorrow. And 4,000 dead babies Saturday. And 4,000 dead...

Those of us who adopt children are the legal parents, the mother and father in terms of law if not in biological fact. The term is useful to distinguish one type of parent from the other.

This was before laws that allowed people to drop their baby at a fire station or police station anonymously. She wanted the baby to live. A bathroom in a busy BK would be a place you could privately leave a baby and know that someone would find it before it would die from exposure.
This is a story a million times better than the baby found in a garbage can.

Indeed.
In this case the proper term would be broodmare or brood sow.
To: BenLurkin
So I am assuming the broodmare got away with this crime for 27 years.
Is there a statute of limitations?
To: ifinnegan
Way to go. Insult every woman who has every made the choice for LIFE for her baby, instead of the “popular” accepted way of killing it instead.
You should be ashamed.
