I'm surprised she was so young; there's more surprising stuff at the link. Some good, some not so good. The article is very brief, but excerpting required per the link bot.
I always enjoyed that show, though I never saw that many episodes.
I liked them.
They were kind of pioneers in world of cable TV chefs.
Noooooooooo!
RIP Clarissa.
She and Jennifer Paterson had a fun and educating show. No, they weren’t “much to look at” by our standards, but they lived and enjoyed life, by gawd. As we all should. I loved how they’d end a show at some prep school or dairy farm by drinking a martini and having a smoke.
RIP.
I used to love that show.

After attending a recovery program, Wright and Paterson were approached by a TV producer about making a series. "Two Fat Ladies" premiered on BBC Two in 1996 and ended after Paterson's death in 1999.
What a story.
Paterson(L), Wright(R)
Sad to hear of her passing. RIP. They introduced me to bubble and squeak and loved their ‘streaky bacon’ references. A classy pair of birds.
Quintessentially British to the core which is why I loved them.
Delia Smith and Nigella couldn’t hold a candle to TFL.
When it comes to British cooking shows you can’t beat this.

One of my favorite cooking shows. I certainly will miss the lady.
I loved the fact that they seemed to operate with a: *what you see is what you get* attitude. They were pre-cursors of that most overused word *passion*. No one else could make me want to try to make Bubble and Squeak with lard!
RIP Clarissa and Jennifer...ya done good.
...”Joie de Vivre”...
A Giada, they were not...beautiful in their own way.
Oh no! I could never bring myself to make anything they made, but they were a delight to watch.
Fans might like this series on YT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SFoym7HfWQ Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. It’s about why we eat (or at least the Brits, but some of it goes for us as well) what we do, when we do.
And didn’t that bacon look great! We can’t get that kind of meaty stuff in these here parts. The spin-off Cooking Channel had their show on a year or so ago. It was the highlight of my Saturday nights, so that should tell you something about my life.....
I loved them too. They seemed so cool, and they made cooking seem fun, I wanted to try their dishes. RIP.
From Jennifer Paterson: Never throw away squeezed lemon, but keep them for the day by the sink. Then you can use them to remove fish, onion or garlic smells from your fingers. Or you can stick them on your elbows while you are reading a book, to soften and whiten your skin.
