Born in London, Wright studied law and became the country's youngest barrister at age 21. In her later years, she struggled with alcoholism, was eventually disbarred and became homeless in the early 1980s. After attending a recovery program, Wright and Paterson were approached by a TV producer about making a series. "Two Fat Ladies" premiered on BBC Two in 1996 and ended after Paterson's death in 1999.
What a story.
