Clarissa Dickson Wright, one of the chefs on the BBC's "Two Fat Ladies," died Saturday in Edinburgh, Scotland, BBC News reports. She was 66. A cause of death was not disclosed.
"Two Fat Ladies" featured Wright and Jennifer Paterson (who died of cancer in 1999) traveling around Great Britain on a motorbike and highlighting regional dishes.

I always enjoyed that show, though I never saw that many episodes.

She and Jennifer Paterson had a fun and educating show. No, they weren’t “much to look at” by our standards, but they lived and enjoyed life, by gawd. As we all should. I loved how they’d end a show at some prep school or dairy farm by drinking a martini and having a smoke.
RIP.

Sad to hear of her passing. RIP. They introduced me to bubble and squeak and loved their ‘streaky bacon’ references. A classy pair of birds.

I loved the fact that they seemed to operate with a: *what you see is what you get* attitude. They were pre-cursors of that most overused word *passion*. No one else could make me want to try to make Bubble and Squeak with lard!

Oh no! I could never bring myself to make anything they made, but they were a delight to watch.
