I am done. This site has broken me. I am as staunch a conservative as you will find. After returning from Iraq, injured and upset, I turned here and found a welcoming community that shared my thoughts. I am a proud Gadsden Flag waiving man of the Tea Party movement. But because I don't think Sarah Palin is as historically important as other GOP women in the past, I am now considered an idiot, a RINO, ass-kisser and whatever negative connotation you can throw my way. This site has changed so much since that dictator want to be became President it sickens me. It's lost its sense of community and has ran off many a good person. Heck even the Tea Party seems to be distorted here.
You are taking the coward’s way out. Stick around and have to live through another Presidential campaign with the Sarah Palinistas as they yammer about how she’s going to jump in the race any minute now. :-)
No, its just not worth arguing about and certainly not worth leaving FR.
I'll stay, thank you very much. Thank you for your service.
BAH!! you are just a ‘mere’ 99er! Wet behind the ears! Young pup!
;)
Okay, I guess I got the wrong vibe from your post.
It’s a syndrome: you’re wrong, I’m right because I served in Dupistan, so I’m packing my toys and leaving!
All caps, way too many exclamation points! Everything bolded.
“Sounds like “Have a different opinion? Shut up!”
That is good advice about Palin.
A long time back when the worst of the PDS was going full bore, Jim himself posted that people not into Palin should steer clear of the Palin threads because all many were doing was trolling.
I don’t know if that was ever rescinded.
Well I was lurking from 98 or something. I forgot my password once and had to become GeronL2 for a while.
A likely story newb...a likely story ;)
I like FR because more than any site, it reflects solid, old-fashioned, no-nonsense, straight-arrow, mid-american conservatism. The kind of gut-level conservatism of “common sense,” which led to America’s greatness, before the whole culture went totally dingbat insane.
Palin represents this for me as well. Moreso than any other living voice out there. She has the anti-corruption bona fides like no other in the GOP. Palin and Reagan are the only two leaders I would personally take a bullet for.
Why?
I don't remember it, if we (you and I) have ever “exchanged angry words”.I don't remember ever meeting you.
Take a break, or just never loggon again.
Most posters here learn to take periodic posting breaks.
Few hold it against anyone...and if they do, if you aren't officially zotted, shake it off and try harder to find a way to persuade people to real action.
Have a nice day tomorrow!
And I’ll haZ you know that before there ever WAS an FR, some of us anticipated it’s coming and waited...in the snow...uphill...both ways! for it to arrive!
(OK...not really... ;)
I'm guessin FR had to buy a new server just to hold all of those posts we read in the last presidential election.
I don’t believe you; that just kidding part! You’all were with George Washington at Valley Forge and came up with the idea of FR. I know it’s true. George Washington even tweeted about being in camp with you guys and the plan.
Wonder if her decision to stay out had anything to do with her advisors seeing the PDS on sites like FR that should have been nearly monolithic (since we ‘supposedly’ agreed with her positions) and said to her “Your base can’t be trusted”.
Good call on their part.
I’m answering this post and if you answer this post I will not answer this post.
That is my final answer.
Get over it. :^)
