An agitated moose in Smithers, B.C., was caught on video attacking a bystander with its front legs.
Laryne Gamble, who uploaded the video to Facebook on Feb. 12, wrote that she decided to pull over when she saw the animal standing on the side of the road.
She said she wanted to record a snippet of the action because her sister-in-law had never seen a moose.
The animal then started walking toward a woman who had passed by, kicking her from behind on the shoulder. Thats when the video cuts off.
I really hope the lady is okay, Gamble stated.
Media reports suggest the woman was not seriously injured.
Conservation officers have determined that the moose is pregnant and was acting defensively, HQBulkeyvalley.com reports.
The video has been shared more than 2,000 times on Facebook.
Smithers is about 350 km east of Prince Rupert, B.C.

Ha ha ha ha...Monte Python. This woman apparently had already carved her initials in the Moose’s butt. ROFL.
She was upset because she was pregnant, dontcha know, eh?
Mine too. I wonder if it's the same moose?
5.56mm
Just like the ‘tards in Yellowstone getting outta their vehicles to approach bears and Buffalo.
Oh, new owners:
"located on Hudson Bay Mountain, which was the name of the ski area before a change in ownership. The largest of only a few ski areas in northwestern British Columbia, and the only to qualify as a "resort", the ski area does not experience the rain-outs common in more coastal resorts such as Whistler or Mount Washington."
No realli! She was Karving her initials on the moose with the sharpened end of an interspace toothbrush given her by Svenge - her brother-in-law - an Oslo dentist and star of many Norwegian movies: “The Hot Hands of an Oslo Dentist”, “Fillings of Passion”, “The Huge Molars of Horst ordfink”...
Don’t mess with moose. Nasty critters.
Is there a more Canadian name then Smithers? In Ft. Francis there is a place called Pither’s Point.
One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got in my pajamas, I don’t know.
As long as this is big news in Canada, I’m happy.
Why is it always the moose’s fault? Put yourself in the moose’s shoes. You’re just standing by the side of the road waiting for a Bugatti Veyron to go by so you can get a photo for your collection, and some lady pulls up in a Chrysler minivan and ruins your shot. I mean, wouldn’t you want to stomp her?
Møøse happens!
They make terrible dictators. A moose once took over Italy.
Added the 3rd keyword. Thread is complete.
We took pictures of the native girls but, they’re not developed. We’re going back in a few years.
