PS. This was on CNN front page, I posted the previous article in chat, this is a follow up and if it’s front page news at CNN, I hope you’ll leave it in extended news here.
Thanks
Their animals. IDGAF what they do with them.
They couldn’t give the baby to another zoo?
I am as conservative as they come, but that sickened me.
Now, if they had fed Pelosi to the lions...it would have delighted me, but sickened the lions.
This was plain sick and stupid. To add insult to injury, they did in front of guests....many of whom were children. Brillant, those Danes.
PETA FREAKS CAN GO POUND SAND, LIONS HAVE TO EAT AND GIRAPHS ARE FOOD!
Couldn’t they have sent this giraffe to another zoo?
/johnny
Uh...they'd just shot the beastie in the head with a rifle. What did they expect to find in the autopsy, a heart attack? Shingles? Irritable bowel syndrome?
why didn’t they just neuter him ???
“After an autopsy the giraffe was dismembered in front of an audience that included children and fed to the zoo’s lions, tigers and leopards.”
An autopsy? Hell,he was shot in the head
Late term abortion.
“The Copenhagen Zoo said it “euthanized” Marius to avoid inbreeding. A veterinarian shot Marius with a rifle as he leaned down to munch on rye bread, a favorite snack. After an autopsy the giraffe was dismembered in front of an audience that included children and fed to the zoo’s lions, tigers and leopards.”
Shooting an animal like that is not euthanizing it.
Doing it in front of kids is unforgivable.
Killing it in the first place to prevent “inbreeding” is sheer nonsense. I don’t believe they couldn’t have found some zoo who would have accepted it.
The REAL reason comes from that sentence about Walt Disney, nature and kids. Who the hell are these damn idiots anyway?
And I don’t care how many socialist, inbred European Union Morons they dredged up to excuse this act of barbarity.
In the real world when the zoo have too many giraffes you get feed to the lions...
That’s the bottom line...
What a sick, evil group of heartless socialists. It is wrong to kill an animal for the hell of it. I guess this should not surprise me. Abortions are everywhere. Euthanasia is legal in some places. There is no respect for life. No respect for nature and nature’s law.
It was wrong to kill that beautiful creature. It was not sick. It was not suffering. It did not attack someone.
Were these people who asked to watch or did they do this during business hours and start cutting the animal up in front of the unsuspecting customers?
If the problem was inbreeding, did anybody consider neutering him?
The situation with the unfortunate giraffe has some implications for Obamacare. It was in a zoo where just the exoticity of the creature should have been plenty of reason to keep and exhibit him. But he was deemed to be not profitable for his society so his government decided to put him down. Well, government bureaucrats are in charge of Americans’ decisions on health and medicine now. They decide what treatments one will be allowed to have or whether one has enough usefulness to his society to get any treatment at all. How far is that from a bureaucratic decision to put a citizen down because he is 66 years old, has no productiveness left in him, and his Social Security is a burden to the society?
IF they were worried about inbreeding all they had to do was neuter it. They could have sold it for $200,000. Someone made them the offer.
And seriously...who would take a child down to the killing floor to get the full slaughterhouse experience?
If lions were not supposed to eat giraffes, they wouldn’t taste like meat.
