Earth may be unlivable by 2050 or 2100 because of the rapid increase in global warming and climate change.

According to Opednews.com, an article by Dahr Jamail makes it clear that climate change is accelerating so much that eartch will probably be unlivable by 2100, if not 2050.

"The global warming that was previously predicted to occur within 2,000 years, is now predicted to occur within the lifetimes of some people who are alive even today," the website said.

Obamacare and progressive economics policy will kill enough people by then that the weather will be of no concern.

Must be global warming! (sarc)

We had a Chinook for the last two days, where the temperature peaked 50F at 3:00PM this afternoon, however it was 27F at 5:30PM, it is currently 10F and going down to -2F overnight with a wind chill of -20F. By Thursday, the high should be back to 40F.

The joys of living in Chinook and ‘flash freeze’ land!

The environment is suffering damage that could be irreversible — global warming, the greenhouse effect, the melting of the polar ice caps, the rising sea level, hurricanes — with terrible social occurrences that will shake life on this planet.”

“I believe this idea has a strong connection with reality. I don’t think we have much time. Fidel Castro said in one of his speeches I read not so long ago, ‘tomorrow could be too late, let’s do now what we need to do’.”

I believe it is time that we take up with courage and clarity a political, social, collective and ideological offensive across the world — a real offensive that permits us to move progressively, over the next years, the next decades, leaving behind the perverse, destructive, destroyer, capitalist model and go forward in constructing the socialist model to avoid barbarism and beyond that the annihilation of life on this planet.”

Bin Laden blasts US for climate change

CAIRO – Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden has called for the world to boycott American goods and the U.S. dollar, blaming the United States and other industrialized countries for global warming, according to a new audiotape released Friday.

In the tape, broadcast in part on Al-Jazeera television, bin Laden warned of the dangers of climate change and says that the way to stop it is to bring “the wheels of the American economy” to a halt.

Charles Manson, the notorious cult leader, has broken a 20-year silence in an interview from his prison cell to warn the world of an impending apocalypse due to global warming.

[snip]

Everyone’s God and if we don’t wake up to that there’s going to be no weather because our polar caps are melting because we’re doing bad things to the atmosphere,” he said.

The automobiles and fossil fuels are destroying the atmosphere and we won’t have air to breathe.

I can only imagine how awful our music culture is going to be by then. We went from Rock to disco to technopop to rap to hip hop to just gangsta rubbish. By 2050, music will probably sound like clanging trash cans.

Here is the report by Dahr Jamail:

http://dahrjamail.net/are-we-falling-off-the-climate-precipice#more-3320

The latest from the Global Warming Chicken Littles is that a little warming will cause the release of a worse greenhouse gas locked in the Artic ice: Methane. The release of all that methane is a time bomb that will accelerate temperature rise. Some are predicting mass deaths through starvation because the changes in the climate will inhibit food crops and seafood. This they predict will happen in 20 years.

I have questions. What is the true reason that C02 is at a high of 400 parts per million? Is it the result of humans or are solar changes inducing the CO2 increase? Why cannot the increase in CO2 be absorbed by faster algae growth and land vegetation? What is the human contribution compared to natural causes? And what reduction in human contribution is necessary to bring the atmospheric CO2 to normal levels? Will the fix be futile and be worse than the consequences if we do nothing?

They have no shame.

And they won’t stop this nonsense, no matter how many times their ridiculous predictions fail.

"Antarctic sea ice has grown to a record large extent for a second straight year, baffling scientists seeking to understand why this ice is expanding rather than shrinking in a warming world."

So-called "Scientists" can't figure out that if the ice is expanding, then the planet isn't warming. Even worse, they're actually "baffled" at what they're seeing with their own eyes.

And we pay these people's salaries.

That reminds me, when I was in elementary school, I had a teacher tell me that we would be out of coal in 20 years. I guess she didn’t realize we have hundreds of years worth of it.

I guess “Liberal” and “Ignorant” are pretty much interchangeable...

I think so. Certainly on this subject the two words are equivalent.

"The fall-off in ice volume is so fast it is going to bring us to zero very quickly."

Comfort the Chinese icebreaker crew with these words.

They may be out by 2050.

Of course the ice is there because global warming has gotten the polar ice caps so warm that even the ice is trying to move away to cooler climates.

I thought “Global Warming” had gone out of fashion amongst the global doomsayer crowd.

Have environmentalists prediction of global doom EVER been correct? Do the environmentalists admit the FACT that they have killed roughly the same amount of people as were killed in WW2 with their banning of DDT based on junk science in a fiction book? Will they admit to the destruction of rural communities to protect a stupid bird that is being killed by another bird in an act of evolution (one of their religious fundementals)?

At my age I will probably be here in 2050 God willing. I have a feeling It’ll be just fine

Maybe a new - - no article gets posted if the writer's IQ is less than a hundred.

Good grief, does nobody there own a chainsaw? That road would’ve had one lane passable the first day down here

Good Grief - THAT road was only ones of hundreds - ALL our roads were like that! and lots of power lines involved - MANY MANY linemen and trucks working 17 hour shifts.

Takes time to clear every road for counties wide - They had roas passable real qick - but clearing the lines and restoring power took time - sheech - They were up on the booms in front of my houe at 2 in the morning, lopping off the tops of trees to free up and restore lines...

You ever been in an ice storm of this magnitude that covered the whole state and everything in it in a thick coat of ice - all the trees weighted down to the ground. (The unusual thing about this ice storm is that there's not been one day warm enough, since, to melt the ice and get it off the trees - so tress continue to break and crash down
