The health director who approved the release of President Obamas birth certificate has died in a plane crash, Hawaiian officials said Thursday.
Loretta Fuddy died after the Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft she was travelling on went down shortly after leaving Kalaupapa Airport at around 3:15 p.m. local time (10:15 a.m. ET) on Wednesday.
The other eight people on board were rescued, Richard Schuman, president of Makani Kai Air, told NBC News early Thursday, adding that that there was no indication as to why the plane had crashed.
Fuddy hit the headlines two years ago when she approved a waiver request allowing Obama to access certified copies of his birth certificate, signed by the delivery doctor, Obamas mother and the local registrar. His mother, then 18, signed her name (Stanley) Ann Dunham Obama.

Well, that's a relief, I would hate to think there was somebody still missing.../s
Isn't that SO typical of Hawaii? It's an Alice Through the Looking Glass world, and every day is a Mad Hatters Tea Party
Maybe the swim trunks and T-shirt have already done the speaking.

Just saving thread for more info tomorrow. At least I hope there is more info tomorrow.
Those crazy birthers think this death is suspicious, gee whiz. /s
Just spreading the word;)
I had trouble yesterday and today with Firefox plug in Adobe Flash Player. Finally had to do an update to Firefox. Adobe would not allow an uninstall from computer.
Thanks for that link. Here are Zullo’s comments:
” Investigator Mike Zullo related to Gallups, Sheriff Arpaio and I first want to express our deepest condolences to Ms. Fuddys family, and her friends, and to the people of Hawaii. We are aware that there are numerous Internet speculations of possible foul play in this situation. It appears to us, at this time, that the plane crash was simply a tragic and unfortunate accident.
Zullo went on to emphasize, I can tell you this, though; our investigation into the Obama fraud case does not hinge on Ms. Fuddy. While her death certainly is a tragedy, it in no way hampers our investigation in this matter. If people truly believe that her untimely demise was somehow related to an attempt to silence her for what she may or may not know, then there are several more people in Hawaii who should be very, very concerned. Again, I want to emphasize, Sheriff Arpaio and I do not, at this time, believe her death was connected to any nefarious circumstances.
That last paragraph is the one I would emphasize. We will never know whether foul play was involved in Fuddy’s death. What we do know, though, is that there are a few people in Hawaii - and they know who they are and probably know that we know who they are - who should know that it would have been extremely easy for her death to be rigged. And their deaths could be rigged just as easily IF THEY KEEP QUIET AND LEAVE A MOTIVE FOR THEM TO BE KILLED.
The only way to remove that motive is to tell your story first, before they can off you. Those people would be wise, IMHO, to get out of Hawaii and get into protective custody - outside the US if necessary, and it probably would be necessary at least initially - and tell their story. Like Edward Snowden did. That’s the only way to get it out there. The US press has been threatened and won’t touch it. It’s got to be the foreign press, like it was with Snowden. That’s where we’re at in this country.
Thanks for posting those links, butterdezillion. I was busy yesterday and hadn’t time to find them again. She apparently was a devout Catholic and attended a “co-cathedral” (St. Theresa?) but not on Molokai. Another story says that five were treated on Molokai. As usual, the journalists can’t keep their stories straight. Confusion always aids The One.
ALL of the other 8 passengers survived this "crash" so, was she murdered later in the hospital? Probably.
Butterdezillion: Sounds like a near exact paraphrase of your comment #97:
"Ive held off on posting the article I promise in the last post in the series, because peoples lives are at stake, and right now there are 2 people at the HDOH who would be wise to leave Hawaii immediately and be taken into protective custody, IMHO. They know who they are."
I’ve read in my local paper titled ‘Last moments recounted of official killed in plane crash’ published by AP.
“In the water, Fuddy held hands with deputy director Keith Yamamoto as he tried to help her relax, said the Rev. Patrick Killilea ...They were all floating [donned life jackets] together and she let go and there was no response from her”
She expired because of fright?
Still no word on when the autopsy will be done.
Aren’t autopsies performed as soon as possible after events like this?
So I’m listening to the radio and the announcers says. No flight plan was filed No call for help was issued by the pilot. And the survivors said they heard a bing bang and then crashed.....
So I’m thinking. Hmmmm a Big Bang theory Was it a “brown-bang” or a “hasting-bang” or just a new “fandangled-fuddy bang”?
The problem with too many high profile homicides is not so much that the pathologist(s) doing the autopsy are inexperienced, it's that they are corrupted into covering up the objective evidence.
(I'm not calling Fuddy's death a homicide at this point, but it can't be ruled out either.)
That's the money quote.
“An autopsy was performed on Fuddy, but her cause of death has not been released.”
