ReelzChannel is getting back into the Kennedy family business, and once again likely to make some waves. In November, the network that aired the Emmy-winning 2011 miniseries "The Kennedys" will debut "JFK: The Smoking Gun," a new documentary offering the theory that John F. Kennedy was killed, not by Lee Harvey Oswalds rifle, but by the friendly-fire bullet of an inexperienced Secret Service agent.
"The only possible gun that could have been in that area is that Secret Service gun. So the finding is that it was an accidental discharge. Nobody's claiming anybody did anything wrong. But at the time, in the middle of the Cold War ... remember, it wasn't a time that the U.S. government would have liked to admit a botched security detail in the most important mission they had."
According to Hubbard's explanation of the docudrama, the timeline of the events of Nov. 22, 1963, will go something like this:
After Lee Harvey Oswald fired an initial shot at the Kennedy motorcade in Dealey Plaza in Dallas, a Secret Service agent named George Hickey responded. Hickey, an inexperienced agent who had never been on follow-up car duty, grabbed his AR-15 Secret Service rifle and, while standing in the back of the car that was behind the Kennedy vehicle in the motorcade, fired a shot, he hoped, towards the enemy fire. But the car he was riding in suddenly lurched forward, and, the theory suggests, Hickey's hand faltered, sending his bullet towards the presidents head. Oswald had fired a second shot that also hit Kennedy, but it was not necessarily the shot that fatally wounded JFK, according to the theory.

His motion, with elbows high and head flipping back is a classic acute reflex to spinal trauma.
I learned of it by reading the Wound Ballistics Review article on the Kennedy Assassination. The head flip alone was enough to spark thousands of conspiracy theories about the “grassy knoll”.
My Mannlicher is in .30/06, but the action is smooth as butter. People used to make fun of it because when empty the magazine follower rattles if you shake the rifle. with rounds in the magazine, it doesn’t.
If there were coherent advocates for conspiracy that could produce examinable proof rather than the dull contrarians who have nothing more than blurting out “Ain’t NO way, NO how Oswald kilt JFK and I ain’t a-believin’ nothin’ else” every time the subject comes up, I wouldn’t have to do this.
See, I’m not trying to convince the conspiracy yokels of anything. They’re a lost cause. I’m trying to keep them from poisoning the well to the uninitiated they’ve been lying to with their lunatic conspiracy theories going on fifty years.
If you have something to say, summon the courage to stand up and say it.
In the interest of truth and justice, stay off juries please. If you get a jury duty summons, just walk in there and ask where the white people sit so they throw you out, okay? Thanks.
“The Sea Will Tell” was a very interesting book.
Just curious, though...you think he is a liberal (most of whom are reprehensible in both your eyes and mine)and given his support of various people and things, that is reasonable.
Do you discount the truth because of the source? Can a liberal be right about anything?
And do you believe in a tenet of American justice, that every client deserves legal representation, or is it only “good” people deserve competent representation, and the rest deserve bottom of the barrel public defenders?
As a conservative (I presume from your Freepname)what are your thoughts on these things?
I haven’t read his book, but I would find it difficult (but not impossible) to believe his viewpoint could go head to head with Bugliosi’s and come out on top.
Uh, Wil, you missed one . . .
When JFKs body was returned to DC that evening for the autopsy at Bethesda Naval Medical Center, US Attorney General RFK was not only present but actually a witness to that autopsy. Bobby Kennedy met the plane at Andrews AFB and stayed with his brothers body throughout the autopsy.
Jackie Kennedy decided that the autopsy should take place at Bethesda rather than Walter Reed Army Hospital because “Jack was a Navy man.”
Notice that Oliver Stone decided not to mention any of this in his execrable movie.
So, Texas Fossil, now what?
The real truth must be close.
1. I have no idea if he is a liberal and don’t care.
2. A liberal can be right about things and a conservative or libertarian can be wrong about things.
3. I think every client deserves the best possible defense and the “state” deserves the best possible prosecution. Unfortunately, I believe that rarely happens. I think our Judical system tends to be more favorable to the defense. I really don’t have a problem with that. Sure some scum bags will get a pass, but it is in the nature of scum bags that they will not learn and eventually other scum bags or the Justice system will take care of them.
It is a shame that some innocents may be injured along the way, but it seems that as a society, we are willing to put up with Collateral damage.
My comments about “The Sea Shall Tell” are based completely on the book HE wrote and the facts he presented in HIS book. I enjoyed the book very much.
She was guilty. So was Simpson. So was Casey Anthony. Guilty people go free all the time.
I said he was a great lawyer. That does not mean I believe him to be the Second Comming and to be infallable in everything he says.
Easily duped and brainwashed...your type of person. I sort of feel sorry for you. Either that or you an outright manipulator knowing full well what you are doing.
Pleading ignorance, did we have AR’s in ‘62?
There were no other shooters, and even if there had been one on the grassy knoll area (as conspiracy theorists claim), the bullet would have struck Kennedy in the SIDE of the head and downward because of the knoll's elevation, Elm's curve, and the acceleration of the limo.
And there was no possible way for anyone to be shooting up at him from the storm drains. Period.
One thing that the NPS makes clear at the book depository exhibit is that Oswald had in fact issued some threats to the FBI Dallas office because he was ticked off that the agents had been harassing his wife. Along with being a commie, there’s his motive.
OK, Sherlock, have you ever been to Dealey Plaza and walked the site for yourself, especially Oswald's sniper perch? Have you ever watched the video in slow motion?
That's right. Oswald had his rifle sighted in at a hundred, and was right on top of Kennedy as the limo turned onto Elm. the tree got in his way briefly, but after that, the shots were easy for a trained marksman. Oswald's kill zone really is tight, which the Zapruder film does not capture as the limo rounded the curve and then accelerated.
I have heard that one, too. But I know, in my heart, it was really Jackie, and that the b@st@rd had it coming.
It's really a 1950s gun more than a 1960s gun.
Thanks
there is so much obvious evidence for a coup and multiple shooters it is not even funny. Your question is a non sequitor. I am sorry you have lost so much of your commonsense...really I am.
