I cite this bit of history because I keep hearing the question “If Zimmerman is acquitted of killing Trayvon Martin, will there be race riots?” Like the southerners of old, whites, Hispanics and others today are concerned about black violence.

Thanks Alan. Concerned yes. Look at some places around the country where there are growing instances of flash mobs and knock out "games" taking place. And nobody does squat because they don't want to classified as "racist". Passes are given which teaches the mobs that they are not going to be charged with anything leading to more abhorrent behavior. Gotta love political correctness.

I'm curious how much the thought of black riots may have on the verdict. Get the cops ready and make sure they have plenty of ammo and aren't afraid to use it.

Right now I would say there is about a 90% chance that Zimmerman is going to be acquitted.

On the other hand, I thought there was about a 90% chance Romney was going to be our next president.

How many jurors will say “guilty” because of the fear of future repercussions on them personally? Why would a juror think for one minute that their identity would be hidden and safe?

There is no way Z will be convicted on the 2nd degree murder charge. The bar is too high, but it is my contention the the manslaughter bar is legally pretty high also, so I see the likely possibility Z will walk.

We will be overwhelmed at the reaction to this by the the drive-by’s, but I don’t know how much physical unrest will ensue. Bear in mind, the blacks listen closely to the drive-bys.

The problem is that the threat of mob violence by blacks can influence a jury to find Zimmerman guilty in hopes of appeasing the mobs that are presumed to be on standby to riot if the jury delivered a just verdict. It's simply another form of mob violence, only today the threat has become as good as the reality and with PC being the coin of the realm, the leftmedia and politicians won't address it, much less, condemn it. This situation cripples and distorts our justice system which is another indication that U.S. society is crumbling around us.

I think there will be riots no matter what the verdict is. The militant blacks are ready to riot and they have been encouraged by Sharpton and Jackson.

My son is now working on a documentary film (not about the trial) and staying 30 min. from downtown Miami. He normally lives in London so hasn't been following this trial and I have cautioned him to be aware of it when the verdict comes down to make sure he and his 11 yr. old son who is with him are safe on that day and perhaps days after that.
