The Weekly Gardening Thread is a weekly gathering of folks that love soil, seeds and plants of all kinds. From complete newbies that are looking to start that first potted plant, to gardeners with some acreage, to Master Gardener level and beyond, we would love to hear from you.
This thread is non-political, although you will find that most here are conservative folks. No matter what, you wont be flamed and the only dumb question is the one that isnt asked.
It is impossible to hijack the Weekly Gardening Thread ... there is no telling where it will go and that is part of the fun and interest. Jump in and join us!

That sounds wonderful! Thanks!
You are welcome, Silentgypsy. Greeneyes and all our gardening friends here are amazing!
I bought another tomato plant and another flat leaf parsley as well as a basil plant and some marigolds and got them all potted this afternoon.
I also potted my little snow pea seedlings.
I’m tuckered! I don’t see how Applegate does it with all those massive amounts of plant friends!
LOL.
Man oh man you have been so busy. I am having sympathy pains from just reading about all your activity.LOL
While it could be a nutritional deficiency of some kind, I would not be suprised if it was aphids. Check it very closely and carefully.
Thanks for sharing all the pics. Everything is looking so good. That is a very interesting centipede. I am so glad you are having rain this year, but stay safe from flooding!
It’s a crazy world now isn’t it? Never thought I’d live to see the day when every thing is so topsy turvy.
I can’t imagine using a tiller, I’d probably be in bed for a week to recuperate.LOL
I know what you mean. I wish I had just half of Applegate’s productivity.
Thank you, will be re-potting again today with perlite. It was repotted this spring into the container in the picture from a nursery style container like the other plant in the picture. It was feed a nitrogen building fert recently, after the re-potting, so we will pot it today as soon as Lowes opens to get perlite. Again, thanks, Dr. Lera!
Dancing with a garden tiller....Hmmm... with me, it’s more of a rodeo bull ride.
Why do I grow in containers? When cold rain/snow was falling thru an atmosphere chilled nicely to 30-34 degrees last night here in Red Hampshire; I was able to bring my tomatoes and peppers into the nice toasty house. People that planted in the ground..? Bummer for them.
I wanted to follow up with news on my friend’s sister in Moore. SHE IS FINE! It turned out that she is a 60’s something woman, living alone, and not required to check in with anyone. I can understand that! I could see myself being guilty of that. At any rate, she was actually on vacation and missed all of it. I have not heard if her house was in the path or not, but SHE is OK! Glory to God!
Regarding your post 129, greeneyes, LOL! Well, AR is one of our good examples here. I’m just trying to learn some basic skills, and AR has already mastered those.
I had never thought I would enjoy this as much as I am now. A number of years ago I had thought I would like to try gardening, but found it very difficult to do. It could be that the extra 90-100 pounds extra I was carrying at the time might have had something to do with it. the least little action was so hard. So I gave it up.
Several years ago by God’s grace, I was able to shed those pounds and I have my life back. Now, instead of every gardening movement taking away my breath and hurting my back, I find it a challenge and part of the activity that I can see will fit nicely into my healthy lifestyle program.

Congratulatory BUMP!
:-D Glory to God, it is a blessing! Thanks so very much!
Thanks for the pics and story, Sarajevo! Wonderful! LOL at the centipede story!

Here’s a good review of those “As Seen on TV” expandable hoses. The biggest drawback seems to be you can’t really use a sprinker with it.
Smile, too tired and sore to do much else. I never rode a 'bull' ride or otherwise. I did however climb on a cow when I was young and she did not want me on her so she attempted to rid me of her by backing along side the MasseyFerguson tractor tires and rubbed the bend of my knee of all skin. Never got on any cow/bull again.
I used the term danced because the tiller leads and it takes all of me to follow.
