Why Male Pansies Can’t Attract a Good Woman

A while back I received several e-mails from guys requesting my advice on how to attract a female like me. You see, they seem to have a hard time attracting women that are into shooting and the outdoors… and I understand this.

Being that we humans aren’t whitetail deer and you can’t rub your scent on a tree to find yourself a mate, it makes things harder for guys.

I’ve decided to throw these guys a bone, and any others who need help, on how to attract such a lady. Here are essential points to follow in attracting the Katniss Everdeen for your life:

Now, I know I said we weren’t whitetail, but since you did mention you wanted a woman of the outdoors, I will use an analogy that caters to this community.

Women want the stud buck, bear or lion in their life. They want the alpha male, the one who walks out into the field and you know… he’s the man. However, don’t confuse this with arrogance; that is one thing women can’t stand.

The woman who is into shooting and the outdoors is usually someone who is confident in herself. Knowing that, she will never choose a man who carries himself with “swag” and treats women as objects. A hundred times over …and over, they will choose a man who has “class” and treats them with the respect they deserve.

Living a life of virtue is much harder than living a life of vice. Showing that you are virtuous in your actions will tell a woman that you live to a moral code, you have discipline and you aren’t easily influenced by weak and petty people.

Never need someone. Always be content with the thought of being alone, that way you won’t fall for the wrong woman. Also, if you do appear desperate, that’s usually when women run for the hills… and I think it’s true for men too. However, when you do find the apple-of-your-eye, don’t ignore her.

ZZ Top knows this and so should you; every girl goes crazy for a sharp dressed man. Guys, please put an effort into your appearance. We females aren’t shallow because we overlook the guys in sweat pants or who do the tube-sock/flip-flop combo… you look like a slob, that’s why we overlook you. If you want to attract a woman, be attractive.

Now, keep in mind this is strictly my opinion and the games of love are never set in stone. Nevertheless, these generally seem to be traits the majority of these Katniss Everdeen-like women are attracted to.

Also, take note of my use of the term “man”. The type of woman you want to attract isn’t going to be into a 30-year-old mama’s boy, who still lives at home and wets his bed. She is looking for a leader, the stud of the herd; she is looking for a “man”, not a “boy”.

Let me clue you in on a little secret.

Having a supportive wife in your life makes all the difference in the world. That means doing all the little things right.

You want your husband to go out 9 to 5 and bust his butt off and make a ton of money - do you think he’s gonig to be willing to do that if wifey at home treats him like dirt?

R-E-S-P-E-C-T I’m telling you, you want to land a man - it’s really super simple.

Show them respect - doing something nice FOR THEM just becuase you think they are a good man - a man is going to sit up and take notice. Why? Because most men spend most of their time getting trashed. They are used to women saying they are worthless, etc.

What they are not used to is a woman coming up and saying - “you’re an awesome guy”. Real simple.

I know some of the ladies here are going to complain how this isn’t true. But I know it is. Get a man, keep a man is not that hard.

It probably goes back to cavemen days and is wired in our DNA...women are going to seek out strong men who can be a reliable provider and men are going to seek out strong women who can bear their children and nurture them to adulthood.

Once the children are raised, there is no good reason for the man and woman to stay together unless it is their choice to do so. That's why I believe that marriages should last until the children are raised. Once they are raised, the main reason for them getting together is gone and they should be free to "move about the country" like they say in the commercial. Of course, they have the option to renew their vows and grow old together if they like - and there is nothing wrong with that whatsoever. Remember that for most of human civilization, the average adult only lived until his/her offspring was ready to take over as heads of the family. As soon as they became a burden to the family unit, the older people would quickly be left by the side of the road to die. I mean, what else could be done? It wasn't like they had an Happy Acres Retirement Community back in ancient days, where nurses would empty your bedpan and bingo would get played on Tuesday nights.

But I suppose I digress.

Getting back to the point, I don't think the main problem with young men these days is that they are "pansies" or otherwise effeminate. True, some men are fairies, always have been, just like some women are dykes and are as mean as bulls.

I think it's more of a "mama's boy" syndrome going on here with the young men of today. This is the age after all of the "helicopter parent" who insist on structuring every moment of their offspring's day, filling them up with absurd organized activities such as soccer and karate. Karate? Has anybody ever heard of a picked-on kid win a fistfight because his mother sent him to karate?

But I digress...again.

All this helicopter parenting has helped to create a generation of young males who simply do not have the confidence to strike out on their own. As a result, they end up spending their 20s and even 30s in the basement of their parents homes, playing videogames and bouncing from dead-end job to dead-end job (no pressure to pay the rent or purchase business suits).

Now there was Little League around when I was a kid but in those days, parents didn't drive their kids to practices in mini-vans and sit in lawn chairs shouting encouragement everytime a pop fly was shagged or a ground ball fielded. I don't think I had a parent attend a single practice and only rarely would they even attend an actual game. Back then, we would walk the 10 blocks or so to the practice field on our own and walk back in the growing darkness after it was over. If I had ice cream at all, I bought it myself with my newspaper route money.

Anyway, all I'm saying here is that men need to establish independence (away from mommy and daddy) and have their own pad and drive a decent set of wheels that they themselves purchased. They also need to know when a sports jacket and slacks is more appropriate then sneakers and jeans. They also need to lose the ball caps. Ball caps are for Little Leaguers and old men with time on their hands (or when you are out fishing). And when you are dating women, don't talk about sports. Most women don't give a crap about sports.

So having effeminate qualities really has nothing to do with it. After all, many women are "tomboys" and that can be endearing. There's nothing wrong with a woman who can properly hit a fastball or kick a man's butt in tennis, so long as they know how to look good in a dress and heels and otherwise retain their feminine qualities.

So if men want to show some feminine traits, it can actually be perceived by women as signs of confidence in one's masculinity, especially when those men back it up by being a man where it counts - absolute financial and emotional independence. The real "pansies" are the men who are insecure about their masculinity so they overcompensate by acting like obnoxious jerks all the time and dress and act like they are still jockeying for social position in the high school hallways.

I think you have it wrong or perhaps just too optimistic. The feminist movement has had a major impact in our country.

I have two boys in their teens and 2nd year of college. Even the girls in church have a chip on their shoulder and think they are owed something just because they are girls.

Perhaps its different in other parts of the country.

no it isnt any different. Son is graduating, and the girls are playing lesbian, or playing slut. Middle class girls and lower class girls have no intention of marriage. High end girls plan to marry after several years of living with the guy.

Both son and I have discussed helping him find overseas bride.
