Hugh Hefner gives a wide-ranging interview to Esquire, including this little bit of TMI: Asked how many women he's slept with, he says, "How could I possibly know? Over a thousand, I'm sure. There were chunks of my life when I was married, and when I was married I never cheated. But I made up for it when I wasn't married. You have to keep your hand in." Of course, he's married now. And of Crystal Harris, his onetime runaway bride, he says he "saved the best till last."
Esquire writer Chris Jones describes the marriage as one of "comfort and security" rather than "white-hot passion," shocking no one; Harris seems to corroborate this idea. "Hef loves me more than anybody else in a relationship ever has," she says. "It took me time away to realize that. I think I realized that here is where I'm meant to be." Adds Hef, "All our friends think it's made in heaven. It's only people who don't know us, who simply see us as stereotypes in terms of age and beauty." Click for the full profile.
Well Hugh....Now that we know what you are....let’s talk about your “payments”.
Shame on you from all us redophiles.
“All our friends think it’s made in heaven. It’s only people who don’t know us, who simply see us as stereotypes in terms of age and beauty.”
Well at least beauty and money. :-)
Is that something to be proud of?
??? really, it ain’t like he just thought about it
I wish I could figure it out.
I can look at a girl who is very pretty, everything is there and nice looking with a great personality, but then there is that red hair, it doesn’t make any sense, but I hear that it is somewhat common.
That beats Gene Simmons’ record.
Interesting article. To be fair, Hef was asked how many and he guessed close to a thousand. it was 2 sentences in what is a pretty long read. Heck, over say, 70 years or so 1000 women doesn’t seem like so many....One of my ex-girlfriends bought me a subscription to Playboy. She liked the articles and so did I. Pictures were sometimes interesting. Ones I remember best were the Pam Anderson ones. Anyway, who wants to look at pictures when you have the real thing.
Love him, hate him or indifferent he has had an interesting life. And in the end, that’s about all you can hope for. He says he doesn’t believe in an afterlife. I hope he finds Jesus before he passes. But I doubt it. He lives life on his own terms and I’m sure he’ll go out just the same way.
Slept with over one thousand whores.
Just a good looking, gold digging whore.
Big deal.
I’ve slept with ONE woman more than 10,000 times!
Exactly. A former "bunny" wrote a book entitled Bunny Tale about her experiences living at the Playboy mansion. Apparently the mansion is dirty and smelly in part because of the untrained pets who have free reign to do their thing wherever.
Her descriptions of the creepy "sex parties" held in the odorous pet-infested bedroom of the aging Lothario, who apparently can no longer function without Viagra, are repugnant.
Anyone who foolishly entertains the slightest envy towards someone like Hefner (including some on this board, judging by their comments) would do well to read this book. A promiscuous lifestyle leads to an utter emptiness and spiritual death: "but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted." (Titus 1:15)
It is infinitely preferable to heed the words of the author of Hebrews: "How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!(Hebrews 9:14)
How wonderful it would be to see Hugh Hefner repent of the great evil he has done by promoting promiscuity, give his ill-gained wealth to the poor, and retire to a cloistered existence to live the rest of his days in prayer and penitence. Where there is life, there is hope!
I think Gene Simmons has both of them beat.
Q: What’s the difference between love and herpes?
A: Herpes lasts forever.
Now THAT'S an accomplishment worthy of praise! Good for you!
Translation: no more lead in his pencil.
