When a show about the walking dead on basic cable beats every network show in the ratings demographic that advertisers care most about, you have to wonder who the real zombies are.
A zombie, after all, is something that continues to roam, and tries to devour all in its path even though its natural life is over a description that does not sound that far-fetched when it comes to broadcast networks.
During its run last fall, The Walking Dead was the highest-rated show among viewers 18 to 49, the most-sought age group, with a bigger audience than network winners like The Big Bang Theory, American Idol, The Voice and Modern Family.

TV as we know it is dying out. I predict within a decade it will be akin to Drive-in movie theaters. Still used, but rarely.
I rarely watch tv anymore, but AMC’s shows are absolute gold. ~Well written, well acted and crafted.
MSM is so hackneyed, poorly scripted, badly acted and so ideologically correct it is moronic.
Is that d/l thru AMC’s own site or thru the-walking-dead.en.softonic.com/ (I am at work so either is not a site I can access at the moment)?
I watch very little broadcast TV. In the morning I watch local and national news on NBC and its local affiliate. In the evening its strictly cable, I tried to watch broadcast channels but theres nothing but idiotic sitcoms and asinine reality shows.
The download is through iTunes. I have no idea what that link you posted is, but it doesn’t sound legit.

What you read is zombie speak from the New York Times rambling on about what it sees in the mirror.
I just watched, “Clear,” about an hour ago on iTunes. Pretty good one.
I still wish Carl would give Rick his hat back, though.
The previous Sunday viewership totalled 11.01 million. Yesterday’s totals should be released later today.
That number beats most broadcast network programs, with few exceptions.
Loved the episode last night. Lennie Davis (he’s a Brit, too! What’s with this show! Can’t we find any good American actors anymore?) can act his butt off! He was fantastic.
Hmmm, free you say? My iTunes shows $1.99 per episode. (And $42.99!! for season 3). Where’s the free access?
Who said it was free? iTunes charges for it. You either have to subscribe to AMC (which costs money, of course), or download from iTunes.
The only way to watch it for free is to steal it by illegally downloading it.
WHo would have ever expected AMC to dominate the ratings?
lol.
I laugh at the herd mentality of the networks and I have never seen Walking Dead and have little interest in it.
Another Reason The Walking Dead is big with the 18-49 Crowd is that you can legally download each episode within hours of it being broadcast.
I took your reply to my question in the context of his original assertion.
or streaming - 1channel
I watch “The Walking Dead” through Amazon instant video. $1.99 per episode, and you don’t have to mess with Apple software.
And now that I read that for the FOURTH time, I see that I was conjuring up free. My Bad. 1,000 pardons.
Download or stream? For free?
I can stream, but 50% of the time it's unwatchable. If I could download, I'd do it in advance and watch later.
Walking Dead is an AWESOME show. You should check it out.
