EU watchdog reveals approval for GM foods fails to identify poisonous gene
54 of the 86 GM plants approved contain the dangerous gene
Gene found in food for farm animals producing meat, milk and eggs
Biotech supporters argue there is no evidence that GM foods are harmful
A virus gene that could be poisonous to humans has been missed when GM food crops have been assessed for safety.
GM crops such as corn and soya, which are being grown around the world for both human and farm animal consumption, include the gene.
A new study by the EUs official food watchdog, the European Food Safety Authority(EFSA), has revealed that the international approval process for GM crops failed to identify the gene.

I guess you're not aware that just about everything you eat has been genetically modified in some way. Should we be labeling every food as having been genetically modified? Duh, indeed.
Really? Are you really comparing a pervert like Kevin Jennings with a man who guided one of the most successful American companies through the regulatory nightmare that is the federal government, and who is known for making decisions based on sound science? You may not agree with his decisions, but to compare him to a lowlife collectivist degenerate like Kevin Jennings is disgusting and way out of line. This is the kind of crazy talk that reflects badly on all conservatives.
One of the reasons why Costa Rica is at the top of the index is that people live long lives in a simple and sustainable way.
The country is one of the blue zones of the worldwhich means a kind of region where the inhabitants live longer than the rest of their fellow citizens in similar economic conditions and where they live even longer than the people of developed countries[2].
Besides Costa Rica, there are four more blue zones in the world
your logic doesnt apply.
Yes. Apparently the industry is afraid of letting the people know what they're eating.
>GM is a solution to a problem that doesnt exist, and is embraced by >idiots that unfortunately do exist.
REALLY?
then you must believe in Population Control and its advocates: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2981045/posts
Paul Ehrlich, Gates Foundation, Buffet foundation,Sierra Club and all the numerous environmental groups that support
voluntary, coerced and forced abortions, sterilization, contraception and associated devices
in 3rd world countries and elsewhere.
There are only 2 solutions to Population Control or overpopulation, one is evil the other is tractors, fertilizer, seed and modern science to improve yields. The EU and the World Bank, along with the U.S. have been fundamental in denying these people, third world and others, these things and instead imposing on them abortion, sterilization programs and more as condition for loans and other amenities of belonging to the world community.
Say what? You can look on the label of any food you purchase and know exactly what you're eating. That being a fact, let me understand you better....you're saying that even though every food you eat today has been genetically modified in some way, you still want food manufacturers to state on the label that every food is genetically modified? Do you enjoy forcing businesses to state the obvious and pass the costs of stating the obvious on to consumers?
Some conservative you are.
Don’t waste your time with him. He’s nuts.
It is one of 5 blue zones in the world....speaks for itself
GM is population control, and farmland destruction.
The real foods that YHVH gave us will serve us well, while GM will make food extinct.
There is absolutely no need for population control, unless you are Satan.
This world was designed to feed 50 - 60 billion people, and it longs to do so.
We sure need ignorant, lying trolls like you.
How else can we be deceived into total fecklessness.
Mase is one of those “God did it wrong, but man can fix it” fools.
The sorcerer’s stupidest apprentice.
I almost hate to ask how you think that GM crops lead to farmland destruction. Virtually all corn and soybeans raised in the US are GM. Those crops require less tillage, hebicide, pesticide, fertilizers and water than the open pollinated versions (which were really also GM, only modified by less efficient means)
>> “Yes. Apparently the industry is afraid of letting the people know what they’re eating.” <<
.
GMO is UN Agenda 21 in action: Kill off 2/3 of the world’s population, and leave the remaining third starving to death too, as their farmland becomes useless to grow food.
The wisdom of man, ain’t it grand?
Demonizing Monsanto because of some crap you read on the internet, but didn't really understand, doesn't change the fact that it was crap to begin with.
Being nuts, and not realizing you’re nuts, is truly unfortunate. You. Are. Nuts.
Talk to the farmers in Canada that have been driven off their land by the destruction caused by their neighbors growing GMO Rape (Canola).
Damn, you’re so intellectual!
Of course everyone that doesn’t accept your “God did it wrong” position has to be nuts.
There you are, captain of the debating team!
Who could possibly holld their own against your intellect.
