True Walmart may not be the first choice for many, but with this administration gutting the military, making it hard or impossible for our soldiers to enlist or re enlist at least there is someone who will be there to give them a job. Veterans may not want to make Walmart a career choice but at least they will have a job until they find what they want.

I have a couple of older friends....Both had excellent "brain required" jobs and were forced into retirement.

One works at Lowe's, the other at Walmart. They love being away from the rat race and leaving their work behind when they go home.

A new Target store is opening in March near me. At the store’s job fair over the weekend, there were hundreds lined up out the door.

Many Vets are much more educated then the average Walmart employeee while processing skills that are easily transferable and in demand,to some of Walmarts better paying positions.

Tractor trailer drivers at Walmart get paid VERY well and many Vets are easily qualifies for these jobs.

Many vets worked are distribution,management,IT and finance sector in the military and Walmart could easily place those qualified into some high paying jobs.

Not all the jobs at Walmart are checkers and cashiers.
