The girl was attacked

Classic MSM twisting of facts in order to create a crisis where none exists..........

The kid wasn't "attacked", the fish merely went after the food on the plate she was holding in her hand........

And yes I said fish.........if it looks like a fish, swims like a fish and smells like a fish, it's a f'n fish!

I remember when I was about that age at some acquaintance’s house. Their child and I were playing in swings. I was standing up. I also had part of a sandwich in my left hand. While I was swinging their dog jumped up and tried to get the sandwich. It missed and got the back part of my ear. It hurt some. The kid’s mother put some iodine and a bandaid on it. I survived. The dog survived.

Stuff happens, especially around animals.

It looked to me that instead of tossing a whole fish like the young gentleman in front of her, she was flicking specks of fish at the dolphins.

Probably the dolphin got annoyed at being teased that way.

As an an attorney, I would gladly take on this case and represent the dolphin and sue the kid and her idiot parents for all they have.

Interesting to watch the video. The girl absentmindedly waves the food tray, and the dolphin grabs it from her hand. The Dad, perhaps sensing a big payout opportunity, tries to film the girl's hand. You can tell by the kid's tone of voice, she's embarrassed and really wants to forget the matter.

This post is about the mothers attitude and not a comment about the "attack" (a whale trying to eat a fish). OKAY?? I am posting this for the ninnies who try to take things out of context to have something to get mad about

She put the paper fish container up in the air to where the dolphin could grab it, which SeaWorld warns against. The child's mother said her daughter made a mistake and "you can't hold a minor responsible for that."

Seriously? This kid is going to be raised as another spoiled brat if mama doesn't expect the kid to obey her parents and follow the rules.

Has this kid ever been told "NO!"??

I had a dog that loved to play fetch. But if you held the stick too long, she would take it from you. The problem is that she was totally focused on the stick. Small kids didn’t understand that, and would hold the stick too long. I had to take the stick away from a few over the years, because I was afraid the dog would go for the stick even if the kids fingers were in the way.

This dog would never knowingly hurt anyone, but when it came to p,ay, she was serious!

Pretty sure this was the case with the dolphin. There is a reason Sea World tells guests not to let the dolphins see the plate.

On the one hand, as a parent, I don’t think I’d consent to the idea of my child feeding wild animals.

On the other hand, if I were there, and they had a program going, and it had been going on safely for years, I might think, “It must be safe, there are other kids doing it, their underwriters wouldn’t insure them if this was unusually dangerous.”

Stupid, stupid, stupid!

Dolphins are trained by feeding, like any other animal; they don’t have degrees in human behavior.

As a kid we would feed the deer at Deer Acres near Frankenmuth, Mich. I don’t know if its still there but I’m talking about the 1950’s. We never had problems but kids still need to be careful. Holding the food where the dolphin could get it wasn’t its fault but the parents. They needed to teach the child to keep the food from the vision of the dolphin until they were ready to feed it. The kids nowadays are not taught like we were growing up.

Dolphins should be eaten and not displayed where innocent children can be attacked by them.

The should have called the police so some lucky doughnut-eater could have added a dolphin notch to his Glock.

I’ve been there. The youngest step-daughter played the game of pretending she had a fish to get the dolphin to come over and then laugh and show the dolphin she didn’t have a fish and say the dolphin was stupid. Dolphins are nice but they come from the big, bad ocean. In the big, bad ocean life oftentimes comes down to whether you have the smarts, physical ability and strength to get something to eat. You can starve to death in the ocean or get so weak that a shark can finish you off. I told my step-daughter these facts and that what she was doing was cruel to the dolphin. She gave me her typical dazed chimp look, so I grabbed her and held her by the ankle over the dolphin pool while I yelled, “Come and get it, Flipper! It’s chow time!” She still won’t send me a birthday present.

She held it in the air which they apparently explicitly tell people not to do, and she had her limb between the dolphin and the paper tray with fish.

The dolphin just doing what a dolphin does.

Parent’s fault, in my opinion.

I see two parents looking for their 15 minutes of fame and possibly a lawsuit. My daughter was feeding those same dolphins just this past summer and the trainers tell you DO NOT pick up the trays! The trays mean food and the dolphins WILL go after them.
