You want some nice programs to watch, check out this channel.
During the week Hallmark has movies starting a 11:00 CST till 7:00 AM than Marie comes on. Weekends Hallmark has movies from 11:00 Am friday till Monday ending at 7:00 AM
My mother whom has Alzheimers generally like Little House on the Praire, and Waltons enjoys the Christmas Movies. Just wish they would cut the Santa Claus trash.
This makes my day easier as mother is at my house now and can at least be able maintain counseling others, Go home at lunch time to make sure she eats. Get others from her church to come in so she is not alone.
thanks for the post on Hallmark
Also, check out the INSP channel. Westerns, The High Chaparral, The Virginian, The Big Valley, etc...
“I cant get all the channels I want in any one place without installing a dish (which local ordinance says I have to install on my deck and that aint gonna happen).”
That ordinance may not be valid. Since satellite broadcasting is interstate commerce, federal law overrides state or local laws and ordinances. Take a look here:

Thanks for your post. I switched to Hallmark Channel and am so happy! Love the movie that is on now.
No more Pawn Star reruns for me:)
Thanksgiving is perhaps my fav holiday.....but I have to start watching shows now just like I have to start listening to Christmas music now because it all goes by too quickly....
where did MEtv come from....we’ve just started watching Remmington Steele...one of our favorites...and just love the format.....I don’t watch ANY modern day sitcoms at all....just can’t get into them....
“The Note”....really good....
I am basing this on only two programs, so perhaps I am wrong. Last year, I tuned into Hallmark for two Christmas shows, and, while they were what you could call wholesome, their treatment of Christmas was that it is a time when people remember to be kind to each other.
There was not even the slightest hint of any religious significance. Now, someone might argue that their argument/explanation could be that not everyone is a Christian, but, IMO, Christmas is about Christians, and those who do not believe in Christ are not really observing Christmas.
That it does, but don’t lose Thanksgiving in the shuffle.
The cards are made in china.
Funny you should mention that because I enjoy listening to the music at this time also.
There's a radio station here in the Detroit area that is now playing Christmas songs that I listen to. My only problem with them is that they only play about 25 standards over and over and over......There are literally thousands of holiday songs by hundreds of artists that are really nice but they're ignored by radio.

None of the exemptions work for me. They have to let me install a dish AND it can’t be overly difficult/expensive (I had the same issue come u at my last condo and I was able to install on the roof).
Since my deck has an unobstructed southern view, they can (and do) make people put it up on their decks for the most part.
I might be able to get away with a stake outside the deck but that would be just as ugly.
I have to wait for the dishes to get a lot smaller. I was looking into the RV types but they don’t have the reliability I need.
But thanks for the link.
A condo in a building explains a lot. Good luck!
