Were talking about the potential for an absolute credit freeze that will make the situation in New York spread across this country almost overnight.
Ask yourself this question: Are you prepared to take care of yourself?
If you cannot answer that question with the affirmative it is time to stop just listening to alternative media and thinking of it as entertainment, but taking the advice seriously and considering if you have a plan to take care of yourself and loved ones if the situation arises.
Because if you look around this world, if you look at the mainstream media, theyre forewarning you about whats coming.
There is a disaster coming. Get ready for it. Make sure you are mentally and physically prepared for what is coming.

The first key to survival is to be out of the way of the ‘hordes’ Far enough out of the way so that their foraging in the urban and suburban areas disperses them.
Second is low profile.
These ‘hordes’ won’t be the “Walking Dead” type who can walk and exist on nothing for decades; they’re still human (at least by some standards) and vulnerable to all sorts of calamity, fighting amongst themselves, for instance.
I expect internal casualties amongst looter types to be 80% or greater.
And very quickly. Within the first ten days to two weeks.

Thanks for posting but I doubt anyone who is that specific. IMO we are getting close but we won’t know when.
During the Sandy aftermath the looters didn’t go all that far from their home.
I think the common assumption that we’ll see hordes of looters descending out of the city is misplaced. Those people will be out of gas and fighting each other for whats left.
Thanks for pinging the threads. Will study them.
Including couponing skillsets. Just picked up my Thanksgiving turkey for FREE last night via coupons.
I think the Russellites made the same prediction but for a date in the year 1914. When that didn't come to pass they reformed as Jehovah's Witnesses and they have been knocking on my door with Watchtowers ever since.
The 'hordes' can't go too far from their supply of crack and heroine.
Exactly.
Roads out of cities would be impassable.
Heck, people complain about commuting times when things are good, and their gas tanks are full!
That’s something that always in a way irritated me about people planning for some kind of “bug out” scenario.
Unless you can get out a good three days or so before SHTF, “bug out” is suicide.
If you are trapped on the road in your rig during the collapse, you are a sitting duck.
Many of us have prepared well (and continue to do so), but the reality is we still hold mortgages on our houses that we cannot pay off quickly.
If it is a total economic collapse and the banks close - they cannot take in or record mortgage payments - how does that work for those of us who do not own our houses outright?
Do they still attempt to foreclose on millions of houses the "old-fashioned" way?
Or will there not really be any machinery in place to affect that, so we just "stay put" until if/when the world economy rights itself.
Any thoughts, ideas?
If you have a car, you have a generator.
Just get an inverter (750w) and some extension cords.
Anyone wanting details let me know
One thing’s certain. If anyone says the day of The Lord will be X, it won’t be X.
I would love a piece of property out in the mountains but I’m not convinced it would be any safer than the suburbs. It all depends on what happens.
Stay put and wait until they start demanding payment. Then it’s “let’s make a deal” time.
You have to think about the contradiction of planning for a societal collapse while expecting that courts will still continue to function and enforce business contracts against millions of defaults by ordinary people who used to be the backbone of a society of law
You could still continue to write checks even if you know no one will cash them or clear them
Agreed- The last thing banks want, at that point, is your house.
As long as banks are open, they can try to collect. They did in the Depression, but only after many months and even years. But if they are closed, no, there is no way they can collect.
that is why for worst case planning you need good maps, good shoes, and lightweight survival supplies (make temp shelter, stay warm, purify water, sustain calorie intake) - and a place to try to get to
I have these visions sometimes of my family walking over the mountains, like my ancestors did 250 years ago
