Congratulations to Jim Robinson for His Political Sagacity Overwhelmingly Accurate

Posted on 11/10/2012 3:00:14 PM PST by lbryce

The maelstrom of political controversy regarding Free Republic founder Jim Robinson and his attitude towards the then Republican presidential candidate front runner and odds-on favorite to win the nomination, as anointed by the msm as the weakest candidate in the Repuplican field, was one punctuated by severe criticism of Mr. Robinson for his uncompromising, vituperative take-no-prisoners stance towards the liberal bent, RINO candidate Mr. Romney,as unacceptable under any circumstances as Republican Party nominee in the 2012 presidential election.

While his intensely vociferous stance against Mr. Romney surprised, confused, alienated many, the political rationale for the utter blanket rejection of Mr. Romney as candidate was one that remained fundamentally true to the principles of Conservatism, in that Mr.Romney in his record of being a liberal-bent, RINO, had not earned the right to wear the crown as Repubican party nominee as champion, defender of party principles, when he espouses liberal policies that true Republican conservatives find particularly galling equally unacceptable.

In the end, months after the controversy had died down, the election of 2012 having ended, it comes as no surprise to have ended in the manner in which Mr. Robinson did all that he could and more, the sagacity and prescience in which he had already determined the outcome to the election is one in which should teach us all not to repeat the mistakes of the past and to heed those we have faith and admiration for in their reading of the political map and and its various minefields.

I agree and have said as much a dozen times since Tuesday - we cannot win with any candidate in the current environment.

The GOP had better change course or face extinction.

And I don't mean pander better.

Excellent !
The RINO’s gave it to “The One” long ago and Jim called it right.
I’ve sense gone Indie. If I ever vote at all again.
The gloves were off during the primaries and on they went during the general.
The DNC is now the NAZI Party, The RNC is the “New DNC”
Time for a new right wing.

This man should never have been our nominee:

I don't disagree...BUT, why do you believe a true conservative could ever win under present day conditions with all the government entitlements and handouts? Who do you believe could have beaten Obama?

The underlying problem is still there. The entire RINO leadership didn't have a clue.
They brought a gentleman's hankie to a gunfight.

Nothing has changed; "I's The Law!" ???

GOOD GRIEF!

Jim had been warning us for years.Mit was from Masshole and allowed the most liberal teachings to go forward and then tried to cover his ass.Gay marriage, not my fault,Romneycare,O used as a format.I believe it would have same old same old with a different name.Yeh,I voted for him thinking he would grow a set of nads, surprise!,NOT.He was weak,in his thoughts that he had it in the bag.And thinking the dems would not cheat, what a turd!If the government was not so corrupt,I believe he would have won by a landslide. And he concedes without a fight.County’s voting more than are registered??? military votes late, plane crashed and whatever excuse that worked,it comes down to,you get what you pay for.May God have mercy on our souls.

Jim - I just posted this on another thread, but it would have a lot more weight to make it happen if you promoted it, providing, of course that you agree with what I said.I can't think of a better way to renew our Conservative existence in the party again.

God Bless you & this wonderful Conservative site.

Here is what I wrote:

It's time all of us Republicans grow up, quit whining & face reality.

Our Leadership in Congress & Senate (our CEO's) have failed us AGAIN.

In any company in the country, heads would roll & a COMPLETELY NEW TEAM would be put in charge.

Our congressmen/women & senators should demand to vote for new leadership,. There are many talented people that could give us a fresh approach & get the job done. It's time for MUTINY!!

Time to phone, email & agitate our own congress people to step up to the plate for us & we'll stand behind them.

This is something ALL of us have to do to change the status quo.

Jim,
All of Free Republic needs to point out to the country that Each time Conservative Constitutional Republicans have been blamed by the likes of John Boehner for a loss it has been with the nomination of a liberal “republican”. Both Bushes were globalists that instituted more policies that took steps to socialism and loss of liberty. Dole is a “moderate” “Republican”. McCain is a liberal “Republican”.
Mitt Romney was the most liberal “Republican” in the Primary. It isn’t the Conservatives that are getting beat it is all the Democrat Lites that are getting beat and why would they. Why vote lite when you can have the real Marxist that is going to give you things. If we must follow Herman Cains lead of a coordinated sizable party of Constitutional Conservatives coming together in all 50 states then we should move in that direction. His point is that you organize via the web first make sure you have viable numbers and then put it together. The money oraganization and people must be there first before you declare your existence. You know Boehner will never listen to you about Conservative Constitutional principles. He is part and parcel of the Socialist movement.

That’s what they want you to believe to discourage you from voting. But why do we still have a Republican House and why do we have so many Republicans elected in state and local governments (other than in the deepest of blue states)?

It’s because the House more closely represents the will of the people and the states and local governments are much closer to the people.

Don’t let the corrupt Presidential and Senatorial vote riggers and MSM propagandists (and GOP-e RINOS) fool you. True Americans love freedom and independence. Always have, always will. Americans are naturally independent and naturally conservative. It’s part of our heritage.

It Should have read:Congratulations to Jim Robinson for His Political Sagacity,Wisdom Having Overwhelmingly Accurate.

Are you serious?

WE all knew what Romney was an is and were reduced to voting for him because we had no other choice.

It was either 4 more years of the marxist obama or the semi (cough) conservative Romney.

How utterly naive are you to think that the great minds here didn't know that?

You have no concept of the of the intellect of the posters here and for you to intimate that it was JR's leadership that guides this place is an insult to some of the greatest minds and opinion on the interweebs.

Jim, no insult to you but this is mindless ass kissing at it's worst. To insinuate that the greatest political commentary anywhere is wholly because of you is just idiotic.

All that said, thank you for the best political forum ever.

“Mega dittos! Romney was a waste from the word go.”

It’s easy to say after Romney lost that he was a loser. But who would’ve been a winner? Newt and Santorum? ahahaha Our field was even weaker than 2008.

Jim,
I would say you are too humble by far. It is your courageous political stance, the uncompromising discipline you espouse, demonstrate, as the bedrock of the political success you have successfully engineered for us all and that without your struggle, intense dedication to the cause we would be much more poorer for it.

The position you took on Romney required a super herculean effort in making your decisions the way you did with great risk but one based on the principles and beliefs you cherish with most hard core members of FR like myself that tend to agree.

Good Luck to You On All Political Struggles Knowing I Will Be There in Lock Step Right About you/

All The Best,
Leonard Bryce

I thought Romney was an awful candidate, but I think JR did the right thing by finally deciding it was ABO, and that was one of the things that convinced me to vote for Romney. I think more people (you libertarians know who you are) should have voted for Romney, because he would have been nowhere near as bad as Obama is going to be in the next four years.

The other thing that made me vote for Romney was Ryan...who it appears was immediately muzzled by the Romney campaign. Fat lot of good that did - I did it this time, but I’m not doing it again: I’m not voting for VP.

We’ve got to do this differently next time around, people. Even the odious Peggy Noonan thought it sucked, and if she, the ur-liberal, wasn’t on board, I know the GOP-e program is in serious trouble. Mutiny on the Bounty.

—that remains my question—who was this “conservative” who could have overcome not only the NBCCBSABCCNNWAPONYT propaganda effort, plus whatever massive Chicago-style vote-stealing that no doubt went on in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia?
