Hey FReeper's. I HATE to admit it,but I am TRULY becoming concerned about the election. I hate to sound negative, and I TRULY don't listen to the polls (with the exception of Rasmussen),but I am starting to get the sinking feeling, that we are SUNK, and that Obama is going to get re-elected, no matter HOW WELL, Mitt does on Wednesday night!
I TRULY think that there are more people, that are idiots and Kool Aid drinkers, then there are informed, rational, intelligent people (like those found here at FR), in our GREAT COUNTRY.
Am I off base here, or am I just starting to cave from being bombarded by all sides with Poll info, political commentators, and such?
Is there anyone else, that is starting to feel the same way as me?
Last time, the polls did not look good for McCain, but some people here were so optimistic they kept saying the polls were skewed. Well. They werent.
Yep. FREEPERS had me thinking McCain was going to win all the way up to Obama winning. It pissed me off that I believed the FREEPERS because they were so convincing. Oh well. It just seems like the same exact scenario....polls suck, Romney wins....Oops sorry Obama wins the polls were right. So frustrating.
Darned good post. Thanks!
The only certainty in the foregoing is voter fraud. The strenuous efforts by Obama and the Demonrats to thwart any reasonable means of voter ID means only one thing: a plan for voter fraud on a grand scale is in the works. The Democrap party has devolved into little more than a criminal enterprise.
No kidding. This person's only prior post was on October 15, 2008. It was a vanity post that sounded eerily like this one.
I saw this scenario a long time ago as a necessary part of masking a rigged election with rigged polls.
the silence of both parties in the face of this takeover since 2009 says we have been surrendered.
seriously seriously think about galt options if this happens, it may be the only resistance. and consider finding self-sufficient moral people to live amongst who won’t rob rape or shoot you or need to be shot if social order breaks down
What the h.....?
But what encourages me most is that Obama/Biden cannot fill their campaign venues with people. Clearly they don't have the enthusiasm of 2008. If that malaise costs Obama 2-3% points in votes, Obama loses.
Too, I think anti-Obama voters are highly motivated, while many Obama voters are questioning their commitment to him. It is common to see people who voted for Obama in 2008, but will not do so this year. Finding a voter changing their vote to Obama is rare.
Bingo. This person's only other post on FR was in October 2008, voicing the same sort of mewling fear about Obama's chances of winning the election.
I believe this one's an agent provocateur.
Just shut up and fight damn it.
Man, the F**k up! You need a session with the Gunny!
What keeps me optimistic are the results of the 2010 election. Obama and the rats took a “shellacking”. Those 2010 voters haven’t gone anywhere or switched to Obama. 2010 wasn’t that long ago. The anti Obama sentiment has grown since then. Keep the faith.
Romney is not Reagan. Stop fooling yourself.
The concern troll got the zot!
What were the polls saying in this time frame in 2010?
Perhaps so, but evidently not enough to get a conservative nominated. As you note, we had dogs in the hunt this year, just like in '08. They didn't get the votes, for whatever reason. They lost. Sounds like the people asking for a conservative have to do a better job of convincing more people to support a conservative candidate. Whoever gets a plurality of votes in the primaries gets the nomination. Last I heard, that's how the system works.
It doesn't do much good to come in here election after election and whine about how lousy our candidate is, how "the establishment" (whoever that is) forced some loser on us, that we were cheated, blah blah blah. We should be mature enough to understand how things are. "The establishment" will listen to one thing: who gets the most votes in the primaries. That means your candidate needs money and voter enthusiasm, a strong reason for people to take time to get out and vote for that person. If they don't have that, they'll lose.
I think it's sad that you've lost sight of where the real power in America resides. Do you not realize that the reason you've enjoyed the relative 'good life', is only because the Framers enshrined the right to keep and bear arms in our Constitution?
Do you honestly believe that we'd even have the semblance of personal freedom in this country, if the powers that be had no fear of the people? What do you think restrains them from suppressing every natural right you have? Laws? Conscience?
Think again.
You've been beaten down, if you really believe a president could command and accomplish what you're suggesting. Not in this country.
Can't you easily think of about three dozen reasons an Obama voter last time would vote for Romney?
God will pick his leader, don’t worry about it...”
That’s seems fair since Satan got to chose last time.
