The Kodiak Daily Mirror reports she slipped as she was texting on her phone at the same time she tried to toss a cigarette butt over the cliff edge.

It was the texting that “done her in”, not the cigarette.

For instance, driving while smoking is relatively safe, but texting while driving (or walking around on cliffs) is not.

I have a 72-mile round trip to work every day, 60 miles of which is on a four lane dual highway. Every day I count at least a dozen people texting while driving. The same ones, day after day. Anybody doing ten miles under the speed limit and wobbling around in their lane is texting, guaranteed.

I will be so glad when Ubama hits that Interwebs "off" switch.
